    Default Control

I was playing in a ring game today, double up quick. But then the big winner started cashing some of his money and i started to get mad but i didn't say anything. He then won another huge hand cashed out another 40 dollars. I was really mad and i couldn't really play after that. At that point i decided to cash what i bought in for too, which i hated to do. This is just a rant. Is it wrong to cash out? And how do you control your emotions when something makes you mad? I ended up even.

Personally, I like to either leave a table and go to a new table or cash out to the max buy-in whenever I double or perhaps triple up. I'm not a big fan of having too much money at the table with me for the plain and simple fact that it is always very possible to get caught in a big hand and lose everything that you've built up to that point.

Secondly, at least from my experience, having a huge bankroll seems to inhibit any action to me when I have a big hand and I raise. People are more apt to call a person with a bankroll closer to the max buy-in.

There's something to be said for being the big stack and controlling the table but I think this has far less impact online (since people can simply leave a table when they feel they are being bullied) than in B&M.

Why were you mad? Because he cashed out? It's his money to do whatever he pleases with. As soon as you put the money in the pot they are not your's anymore. Why bother what other players do. I'd rather think of my own game and try to win as much as possible myself. Sure it can be very frustrating to get "hit'n runned" but playing with emotions involved is the best way to lose a lot of money. Take a deep breath and count to one million or whatever or just leave the table. Kick the dudes ass another time when you have your emotions under control.

Personally I don't see the point of cashing out before you are to leave the table. I prefer beeing the big stack who can afford to set anyone else all-in whenever I like.
