Definition of pushing

Hi guys,

I been reading this forum and my game has been improving each and every day. What I been reading from day 1 is the term pushing. What I wasn't sure is how would you define pushing in a $25 or $50 NL ring game?

In a pot of $5 betting $5-7 is not pushing in my opinion, what would be considered pushing?

Pushing usually means pushing all in. It is sometimes used to mean just pushing hard, as in betting heavily or overbetting, but I think true pushing = your entire stack going in the middle.

Yeah, I'm always refering to going all in if I say push.
