it's absolutely an important skill. I make it a habit to reraise occasionally from the blinds against any raise from the cut off or button.
what I've found though, is that you can't do it habitually, because it's a very easy thing to defend against. I know if I have a blind defender, I like to slow down and wait for a real hand, wait for them to defend, and then drop the hammer.
it doesn't happen all the time, because the cards don't always present themselves, but man, when they do, it's a beautiful thing.
