Greetings and a thank you
Hi,
First post, been reading here quite a bit. I've been transitioning from limit to NLHE. Used to play micro-stakes at Party before, then got back into it at the local B&M, first 2/4 limit, and did pretty well, ending up profit after tipping, sodas, sandwiches, etc. of about 100 EUR for 15 sessions. Then the limit action dried up and I had to switch to 2/2 NL, max. buy-in of 200. That was over my head but I did learn to swim with the fishes enough to come out on top about 50 EUR. P.S. is 2/2 strange, or a european thing? (instead of 2/4) I live in europe.
Classic noobie story outlined elsewhere on FTR. So, then I go for Full Tilt, and of course sit down at the 1/2 NL and got busted out - repeatedly. Now I am down to .05/.10 $10 where I should be, and am holding my own. .05/.10 at FullTilt corresponds about to the level of play of 2/4 limit here in Holland, and not far off from the 2/4 NlLgame.
Just have to say that about 99% of what I have read here is right. Internet is much stronger play - and one has to work up through the ranks slowly and hopefully not too painfully.
Not much to really inform of except I think this site is great and there is a great attitude here, and I just wanted to say hello and thanks. If I ever have any info to share, I will try.
Only data points maybe that I could offer to others is that in my experience the Dutch games are pretty loose - with limit being much looser than NL. Just got back from London (Victoria), and it was godawful strong and unpleasant (deal your own, several old timer regulars with attitude pushing around the fish)....
Cheers!
