Default How bad did I play this?

I'm pretty new I'd say at playing online poker (I'm 19, been playing for probably 3-4 months.) I started out just playing for fun and then started to really get into it over the last few months. I would say I've learned the game pretty well but have never really made a profit playing. (My 2 biggest wins are an 8.80 36 player where top prize got an entry into FTOPS #1 which I took the $205, but soon donked it off. I also won a 5.50 turbo 190 player MTT for 255ish, again soon donked it off without taking anything out.) This time around I'm really starting to (well at least trying) to have bankroll management. I recently put in $100 and have went from there. I've tried a lot of things, grinding it out at 2.25 9 player turbos, trying to play MTT's, playing way over my bankroll because I want to "hit it big" (terrible, I know..) Anyway, this time around I'm going to try bankroll management with cash games. I sat down tonight 4 tabling .5/.10 blinds putting in 5 at each (I know good BR management is to have at least $200 and put in the max) but had this hand early on..had no read on the guy. How bad did I play this and how would you play this? Thanks for the input guys..

Preflop is fine, c-bet on flop is fine too.
I'd check the turn as it seems the villain is not going away.
As played I'd definitely check the river. Remember: you can't bluff someone who just doesn't fold. Since most people at low stakes are very loose callers you should bluff VERY rarely.

    ...Good Question........Where am I?
I'm just a newb! If something I say is off, one of the more experienced players will correct me I'm sure of it.

But it's interesting. You said "I donked off x amount and x amount, but this time around I'm going to practice good BRM. I know, I'm playing out of my BR, but don't pay attention to that."
I'm not going to preach, as I don't have the right, But just stick to it BR man, Dicipline. And when your BR is suffecient, move back up to 10NL. And buy in for the max there, not at 5nl. at 5nl buy in for 5$ Because that's 100xBB, and you should get used to playing with that amount According to some of the Regulars around here.

As far as the hand, I'd probably shut down on the turn. I have to assume that villain is a calling station, and you never want to keep betting into these guys w/o a hand. ALWAYS when you have one though.

in ur accounts... confiscating ur funz
As wellrounded said, you should be playing 5nl.
Make it .40 to go preflop.
With no read, you have to shut down on the turn IMO.
If you've seen him call c-bets on the flop and fold to a turn bet a couple of times, then the turn bet is ok. But there is no way you're not getting called on the river. It might be worth to make a smallish bet if the board was very draw heavy, a draw didn't come, the villain is very loose-passive and you DON'T even have A high.

After this particular hand, I wouldn't c-bet against this player AT ALL unless I have at least 2nd pair.
