The purpose is to balance the probabilities of you being put on a hand. Limping-in may be appropriate. But usually a re-raise is in order. Remember Group O and Group 1 hands are powerful in their own right. The point is to increase the pot not the chances of someone flopping a set. Be careful with this play.
