In short, most players shouldn't play that many tables. I personally think 4 to 6 is the maximum that most players can handle and continue to play real poker. After that, you start to turn into a robot, which is generally bad, but especially bad when you're trying to learn the game. Just play with 2 tables and slowly add a 3rd one whenever you're ready and try to maintain the same level of skill and proficiency.

I can multitable FR 6-10 tables of cash games at 25nl. Its not that hard once you get the hang of it. It does come in handy to have a HU display to assist you. Also auto hot keys help a ton to standardize your betting and reduce your clicking on the bet bar. |

The more you do it the better you get.. I feel relatively comfortable with 12-16 FR tables. And I guarentee you I am not just playing like a bot, using only stats.. I also take notes on hands I've seen, and general notes on players. I regularly check hand histories while playing, and note/mark those as well. Obviously I would play better using less tables, but just because you are playing multiple tables does not mean you can't pick up meaningful reads, and are only playing stat-based poker.

I find 3-4 tables of 6-max is enough for me. With 3 I can comfortably make notes, think about decisions, watch hands I'm not involved in, etc. If I go to 4 then I'm starting to get rushed, I miss things and I sometimes time out (nothing worse than doing that with AA preflop ...).

I'm not sure how many of the best players ever do/did more than 4 6m tables. I think every guide I've read says 4 is the most playable while still being able to improve. I'm sure everyones different however... You can obviously make money 24 tabling 6m, people do it....... for whatever reason. |

I usually play 2-3 tables at once, any more than that for me gets to be to much. But I don't have the time to play more than 2-3 times a week either. |

i think its way better to play multiple tables at once due to the fact that u have to make a quicker decision and keeps u playing honest with only good cards. |

A cheap way to practice more tables is to add a play money table.

Yeah i agree with 3. I can concentrate and make notes of other players but more than that it gets a little confusing |
