I can't afford to be playing at FT!

Default I can't afford to be playing at FT!

Ok so I've come to the conclusion I need to be on PS in order to play the proper micro's for my BR. I keep grinding away but as you know FT only has 10nl and I'm just not properly rolled for it.
The problem I have is I have right about $100 at FT and $60 @ Bodog. I signed up at Bodog in order to get a free copy of Tournament Indicator and I have to play so many hands in order to be able to use TI on other sites.
Is there a simple way to transfer the money I have at FT and sign up at PS? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

well at FT you need a minimum of $100 to cash out...I know that you cant transfer from site to site so what you probably have to do is cash out at FT and deposit on PS...hope this helps

    behind you with an axe
a minimum of $100 to cash out?
That's shocking! Is that a common theme among sites?

I'm not really sure...but why would you cash out for less anyway?

No on pokerstars you can cash out for pretty much any amount (within reason i assume).

post this in online poker room, or log onto IRC and ask. Someone who has accounts on both sites may be able to help you out by player-player transfer.

why were you playing FT without $600 to max out the first deposit bonus anyway?

its pretty commonplace to have starters in pokerstars since they offer lower micro stakes tables. you should've done some research before you deposited

I wish I would have done this before I ever made a deposit.

I hear ya guys. If I had found FTR when I first started I would have avoided MANY mistakes I have made. KB Cool I've now read the thread and am committed to doing it as outlined. Unfortionately I made a deposit with FT before stumbling upon the wisdom of FTR.

Yeah actually there is a way to transfer between the sites. You have to use the same deposit method used by both sites. For example, if they both have NetTeller accounts, you can take out money from Full Tilt but of course you have fulfill the minimum withdrawal limit. And then just re-deposit that money onto Pokerstars. Hope it works out!

    My recommendation:

Gambol like a madman at FT until you go busto or surpass the $100 mark.

Then, deposit at PS and build a roll properly.

LOL, the post above me describes exactly what I did. And i risked my entire bankroll...lol. I lost it all, I was really stupid and gambled everything on really big tournaments. Man, if I could reverse the past....

Minimum cashout on Pokerstars (by bank transfer anyway) is $10.

FWIW Harley, Ive made quite a few withdrawals from FT under $100. I used cc though so maybe its higher for other methods.

The $100 cashout at FT is for a paper check.
I would do what was suggested above and try to transfer/trade with someone who has a br on both sites. You might have to pay them a small % for the trouble, dunno.

I think the min CC w/d is $50, if I'm not mistaken.

Now, back to bonuses...you can still take advantage of the FT bonus, after you clean up on Stars.

I have two accounts on FT, since I wanted to use an alias when I didn't want my buddies bugging me. Like a dumbass, I only did an initial $50 deposit on each one, but they BOTH qualified for the bonus, and I very quickly cleared them both at $10NL (about the only advantage of the micro rake RAPE on FT). My information is identical in both accounts, and I even used the same debit card to fund both. Hell, I even transfer funds between them from time to time. As of now, I don't think they really care since I haven't gone over the initial $600 bonus match. I'm going to try it again with another account, and deposit $500 this time and see what happens. I just cleaned out my Bodog account, so it's worth a shot. I think it may work. Given that the bonus is a small percentage of the rake, I don't think they care one way or another.

hey kb coolman let me know how that works because i would LOVE to open another account on FTP. Also, did you happen to get rakeback on 1 or both of the accounts?
  20. #20
No, I didn't do rakeback on either one, but I'll definately do it on the other one. It will be a couple of months, since Bodog takes so long to cash out, but I'll be sure to let everyone know.

All sites will allow you to have multiple accounts, as far as I know, and they closely monitor them to make sure you're not cheating (i.e. you're not registered twice in the same tourney, etc.) Since RakeBack is site independent, I think there's a good chance we could all take advantage of it my switching over to another account. It's worth a shot.

Having more than one account on Full Tilt is not allowed according to their End User Agreement. KB, my guess is they don't know you have two accounts, and I would keep it that way until you've cleared all bonuses. The actual text is below:

"The User must provide full and truthful information regarding his/her legal name and identity when such information is requested by Full Tilt Poker. A User may not have more than one account with Full Tilt Poker. Violators of this rule are subject to an account review, which may result in the suspension or termination of all accounts."

I can confirm Robb is correct. Thankfully FT were cool with me - and transferred all funds back to my original dormant account and I am playing as normal under the original account.

I had opened the 2nd account after changing countries and I never used the original again - perhaps thats why they let me skate... I didnt do anything sneaky or corrupt.

But if I were you KB - I would not keep much money of FT as they are vigilant... I hadnt used my original account for over a year but they still recognised I had opened a 2nd one and suspended both for a while until I cleared the facts up for them...

Yikes. Thanks for the heads up, fellas. I never read the EUA's. I honestly figured they would have denied my second account if it was a problem. It's obvious I'm not trying to hide anything, and a quick audit would show I've never played both accounts at a table or tourney. Hell, they've never even been both logged in at the same time.

Although, my wife has talked about wanting a FT account lately....

Well I think I'm going to build it back up to $100 then pull my BR off FT and move it over to PS. Then I'm just going to do some text book grinding and work my way up. Hopes are one day I'll be one of the guys who will be refered to like XxStacksXx and the others!
I know I'm shooting high but what the hell. The brass rings aren't any fun to swing from if your toes are still dragging on the floor. SO lets set em high!!!

Aim higher than Stax, then, imo.
