Make it more pre- because you're OOP to two opponents. At least pot it.
Why get fancy and c/c this fairly dry flop with your overpair? There are two opponents, so more opportunity to get drawn out on, plus the loose passive is on the btn, which means it's probably more likely to go check check than if their seats were reversed. Lead for at least 2/3 pot.
Since you decided to check instead, then check raise. You're prepared to get it in, so get more money in the pot. If he folds, what were you going to do on the turn anyway since, given your actions, it's not as if you're likely to be seen as weak whether you call or raise?
