rippy - even though i love to harrass you about your playing style, i have respect for "rippy style" and it has proven itself as a successful strategy for you.

just in the past month, i have specifically tried to incorporate "rippyness" and "fnordness" into my play, and have been happy with the results. i just checked and i am winning 72% of my heads-up SNG's. i've also had more SNG 1st finishes this past month. a lot of this is due to "rippy style", especially heads up.

i believe i said in another post that "rippy's apparent craziness is not always as crazy as it seems." i stand by this.

and the bit i quoted above - this couldn't be more true, and i've incorporated this into my game. once again, i got it from you.

so, keep up the good work, keep entertaining us with stories of how a squirrel stole your cards, but you won the hand anyway playing with two cocktail napkins, and it's all good!

No defense is needed for me. I respect any person's game, and judging by your posts - you're not just anyone.

I will say I do judge hands on the information I see, which isn't always all the information that is needed ti agree or disagree with.

So I guess what I am trying to say is...play on playa, I ain't mad at cha, I got nothin but love for ya

Oh by the way, is Paul Darden still keepin' it real?

    Yes, I am retarded

    Default Doyling

I just got my first glimpse of Doyle's book a few days ago, and love it. It sounds very much like "rippy style to me"

A point Doyle made that I rather liked is that he steals a bunch of little pots this way, with crappy cards. Always nice to make money with your bad cards. Having done this many many times, one gets on a sort of freeroll -- you can make some calls you ordinarily wouldn't. When those pay off, you've built momentum and very possibly tilted some of the other guys.

I went from $90 to $240 at PR playing this way for two days. Long Live Doyle and Rippy!
