My instincts were telling me to call...

There was one hand today that just drove me NUTS! I picked up KK UTG and raised X5 BB. I get two callers (SB, BB). Flop comes X Q X ....SB bets a little over half the pot, BB calls, I raise x3 over SB bet, both call. Turn is a J. SB goes all in with more about half his stack. BB calls. No reads on both players. Tough but I decided to let my KK go. Showdown SB catches J on turn BB Q for TPTK. I FOLDED THE BEST HAND!!!!!!!!!!
ARGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! Why? Why? Why? For sure I thought I was against a set. Any of you guys had a moment similar to something like this??? Discuss.

stack sizes here would help. as well as blinds, format: cash, SNG etc

I think I'm all in here. Even if you thought QQ or JJ they may not bet it out like they did, ususally they will try and trap.

This is a perfect hand if they hold AQ or AJ. They have TPTK and your kings are hidden, they aren't even thinking about KK or AA and figure they have position.

I think a lot of guys don't fast play a set here, but some do. Maybe a turned two-pair, depending on the level of competition.

I'm pretty sure I've put too much money in the pot already to fold, but I couldn't quite make out the bet sizes in relation to the pot.

I fold here....With 2 players willing to push their stacks in the middle you're more likely than not to be behind.

You must consider pot size here. It looks like at this point there is something like 75XBB in the pot. That is a lot. What were your stack sizes? If you up against trips your in big trouble. If your up against 2 pair you actually have some decent outs.

This was at $100 n/l and all 3 stacks were $100 effective stacks. When I reraised on the flop. I had about $65 left.

I would fold. YOu are getting more than 3 to 1 on your money, so I wouldn't berate someone for calling, but it looks like these guys are trying to tell you they have a real hand. I know in this particular instance they didnt, but I'd say that 90% of the time here you are beat.

I don't think I'd push preflop UTG. There's a good chance I'd only get the blinds.

you open raise for 5x UTG. That screams big hand. If you get two callers, most of they time they are set hunting. With that much action you have to assume you are beat barring any other read. Dump the hand and take some notes at showdown.

im only calling here against idiots.

The X's matter in this situation, suitedness etc. but most of the time I'm folding, even though it's a weird play.

If you have a read that says one or both of them is a complete donk, then you can call here profitably.
