Looks like a classic case of the "I have the nuts on the flop but I'm checking behind" play.

Dudes got the floosh imo. Not a snap fold, but a fold nonetheless. You just sat down, so no sense in getting into a big pot with a couple of unknowns with a hand that is most likely 2nd best.

yeah i definitely didn't insta-muck cause i didn't want him thinking i was betting with nothing... i actually had a hand deemed worthy of a bet...

now suppose we have the same board but only two clubs on the board instead of three...

let's say it was Th instead of Tc...

would this also be a muck?.. i'm leaning towards yes because i have no read and i really don't see much that i beat given the raise... maybe aces that were slow played preflop?.. that's about it really...

Your hand is marginal and you are not even close to committed, safely fold and move on.

If there wasn't a 3rd club on the board I think its a call, then check the river and see what villain does.

What? Probably not. You will have more equity in the hand because the villian can't have a made flush in their range. So flush draws are in there, combo draws, pairs, other 2 pairs, etc.
Even if you were behind a range at this point you may have enough equity to make the call based on pot odds.
