since you guys started this thread I've been looking at my PT / cashier like a fiend and am up 3k ship it bitchez.

If it's a train wreck, what does that tell me?
If it's successful (i.e. I'm up), what does that tell me?
If I'm essentially break even, what does that tell me?

I failed, I wanted to see if i had made $250 so I could move up to 10nl (which I did)

Sasquatch, yea I've done it for a couple weeks at a time. It really helps people that tilt over short term results so they have no idea how theyre doing on a day to day basis which lets them play their game instead of playing catch up if behind or coasting if ahead.

I got thru sun/mon/tue okay, but yesterday I got caught up thinking my roll could stand a move up to 5nl. I eventually caved and checked my cashier(s) and reviewed my grafs. BR had reached $215 or so (about 160 of that was leftover from when I only played mtts) and I felt good about movin' up.

Played like 300 hands, lost a BI and now I feel I need more seasoning before moving on. Results-oriented, yes, but I don't think I'm wrong in thinking I need refinement. Overall though I wish I hadn't checked.

hah sup3rman I do that all the time. Like glancing around at my tables trying to roughly work out how much I'm up down, totally kills the point of not looking at the BR and is therefore pretty bad imo.

may's been tough for me with florida trip/finals/moving out of manhattan and into queens/my gf not having internet at her house. played my first session yesterday and took the amount won column out of my pop-up hud and session stats (i'm fairly certain it was a losing session, though. hopefully i'll start to notice less in the future)

i'm considering making an op out of this, btw, it's really cool noticing how distracting results are

Going out in a bit and doubt I will play anymore tonight. Here is my garph for the week. I completely effed up my last few sessions. I'm gonna do a lengthy HH review session and try this again starting tomorrow. I think I am not fully using the pros of not looking as the main benefit of this is the ability to put in more hours without having any emotions affect your play. According to HEM, this week I put in total of 10.75 HRs which is quite shitty. Gonna shoot for 20 hrs+ this week. Thinking 5 hrs Tomorrow, 2-3 hrs mon-fri after wrk and another 5 on saturday if im not hungover or something from fri nite.

What did I learn?
Review sessions- When I reviewed the sessions I realized I made some tard bets and calls.
Swongy as hell.
Not once was I tilted before, after, or during a session.
Sad part is I thought I ran pretty good.

I should do this more often. Note to self: play more. Though I did put in 29 hours and had alot of stuff to do this week so maybe I'll grind more later. Mon-Fri next week is no cashier look work week for me! add $350 for rakeback.

I wish I would have come across this post earlier, damn. I would have totally been in this with you guys. Round 2???

My suggestion is to have it scheduled when you're going to look at your tracker to check up on your stats and make sure you're not going past whatever bankroll guidelines you have and to make sure you're also not picking up any bad habits. I'd personally suggest once a week for people who are playing < 10k hands a week and twice a week, say Wednesday night and Saturday night, for people playing > 10k hands/week or so.
