    Default Pressure

Recently I've been playing a fair bit of ring poker after a few years of sngs. My basic game is good, but I'm finding that I'm hitting one huge problem.

What happens to me is I sit down at a table and build my chips up to a good level (say $150 on a 50nl table) but then without fail I run into one of the other massive stacks and get busted.

It's happened to me every day this week, and has resulted in an overall loss, despite what should be a really solid profit.

I know in a couple of the hands I made mistakes, and a few I was unlucky, but in generl, what am I doing wrong? Is it always a mistake to call an all-in before the river? Should I be moving tables more regularly?

    Any advice appreciated

the biggest difference between SNGs and ring is that in ring, you usually have more in your stack than in the pot on the turn and river. You're probably making mistakes there.

Also, overvaluing TPTK is the standard tourney to ring mistake.

If you're not comfortable playing deep perhaps you should change tables when you make more than a buyin. Or you can try to improve your deepstack play so that you'll be able to control the monster pots more often. If you want to practice deepstack try Tribeca network because at 50NL they let you buyin deep up to 200BB ($100).
