I think I'm beating only TT, JJ and air at this point.

hero can nit-fold in the absence of other reads vs a min-raise in this spot. Note that min-raising flop cbets vs regs puts them in difficult spots.

Give your thought process for leading the flop. It's the most important bit of the hand.

Come to think of it would 4bet/call be bad vs a fish here?

i'd call preflop also since it keeps his range as wide as possible., but 4betting cant be bad since i think he is never folding TT/JJ/AK to a 4bet.

flop i'd go c/c to let him bet any PP/Ax he is cbetting flop when we check and see turn.

as played, i would fold flop since he is so passive.

if that is his continuing range, why wouldn't we 4b and get it in? no need to keep villain's range as wide as possible if we are beating his continuing range vs a bet (unless he's folding some absurdly high amount of the time). i mean we're dominating 12 combos, dominated by 12 combos, and a slight favourite in a flip vs 16.

ps that's an honest question. not saying i'm right. fwiw i actually think we are better off flat-calling than 4betting pre because vs someone so passive TT/JJ can be discounted to some degree so our equity is likely worse than vs TT+,AK

Preflop: TT-QQ vs someone so passive and no relevant sample about his reactions vs 4-bets I tend to control the pot.
Often I find myself checked behind or called by this kind of player, getting little or no info on 2 streets. I don't like big pots with little info.


Flop: probably this is a habit that needs to go, but at my microlevels I always think they are chasing draws, so I tend to bet between 2/3 and pot.
Most of the times, if they are chasing draws they simply call with wrong odds.
If they raise, they usually aren't on a draw.

Maybe a bit simplistic, but it seems to work at these levels.

Let's say I 4-bet and he calls.

In this hand he raised, but I sometimes find myself in similar hands, getting a call on the flop.
Big pot, small info.
Or do I just shove the flop after he called my 4-bet?

if you 4bet pre (as i'd do vs someone with these stats who's already 3b), on the flop I'd b/c the smallest amount possible to set up a 3/4ish turn shove.
