Question about calculating pot odds.

I'm slightly confused about how properly calculate pot odds. Lets assume that the formula you are using is this:

your bet / the pot = your percentage of the pot

is the value of your bet equal to everything you have bet since the cards were dealt, or just what you are betting in the current round?

Just the current bet, and not counting your previous bets in the round either. It's how much you have to put in the pot right now. That other money isn't yours anymore.
