A Question for Players with "Live" Tourny Experien
Hey All
When it comes to no limit hold em I know how it is very important to understand pot odds when it comes to making decisions about any particular hand. Online it is very easy to follow odds that a player is giving you and vice versa as the pot size is always there for you to see. Of course when playing in a live tourny you don't have the benefit of an exact count of the pot size readily and automatically counted for you to see.
I was in my first live tourny last week and it was a chore at times to keep an accurate count of the pot size as a hand unfolded particularly with multiple players in the pot and then adding in raises and what not. 2 to 3 players in the hand of course isn't that bad.
Do you guys have any counting shortcuts that you use to keep a running tab on the pot size in your head? Again this was my first live tourny so I'm sure after practice it will come more naturally, but if there are some effective shortcuts that you guys use to get a good estimate I'd like to hear from you, as I'd rather worry less about counting the pot size and concentrate more on the actual hand in play.
Thanks in Advance!!!
