Default Some computer help with PT and Game+

I usually six table 100 NL and everything runs smoothly. But, when I start up Poker Tracker and Gametime+ , it starts lagging to where it is unbearable. I have a decent computer, its a Dell I bought 2.5 years ago. Pentium 4, 40 gig hd, and I just recently bought more RAM from 512 to 1024. I have only about a gig of free space, would that make a difference? Im not exactly a computer pro so any help or recomendations would help a lot. I want to be able to 8 table with PT and GT if possible. Thanks.

some problems like those can be fixed by turning down your hardware acceleration

Make sure you have the latest vid card drivers.

I have a 5 year old AMD and have no lag issues 6 tabling with PAHud or 4 tabling with GameTime+

Can anyone tell me how I can make sure/download the latest vid card drivers?

Try googling for the company that your driver is; most of them keep websites with the software. If you know the brand/company let us know we can try to offer some more guidance if needed.

Ok, it looks like I have Legacy Video Capture devices and WDC WD400BB-75DEA0 disk drivers. Im not sure if this is really helpful, but I cannot find any other info. on vid card. Can anyone help me out because the problem is still there. Thanks in advance.

It's under display adapters. the WDC drivers are for your hard disk, which I am assuming is a Western Digital Caviar 40Gb IDE device.

Thanx guys. I updated and everything seems to be running much smoother. It lags a little but I think it will help to get rid of gametime + and just buy PA HUD already. Thanx for the help.

Probably a stupid response, but you have ensured that your memory upgrade was recognised and is functioning, I assume?

yup. Everything is still a little slow, but I think its probly just Hollywood Poker. I have a feeling that if I ran Party I would have no problem.
