Just start squirtle, end the game in a couple hours by only playing him. Pick up a pidgey for fly and something for strength. Easy game.

Yeh I quit cata shortly after I dinged 85 and basically said f this once all my shit was worthless for the 20th time. Would be enjoyable if u didn't have to spend like 40hrs a week just to be useful.

I played WoW until end game of BC, didn't get Cata. Good fun but one hell of a time sync, gg life

Back when I began (99 or so) I was only like 11, and played on Harvestgain, as that was the server my dad played on. Played there for a few years, and don't remember what year I stopped playing. I did have a DT character, but never really did much but get my ass kicked near the starting towns. I started playing again though like 2-3 years ago, and rerolled on DT, and played up until late last year, when I sold my account.

So never got to really participate in the DT hayday unfortunately. But did do a fair amount of pking on HG. And just generally have fond memories of the game.

They still have monthly updates fwiw. And still implement some pretty large changes at times. Back when I quit last year, they had implemented a couple of new character races, new hunting grounds, etc. It's totally changed from what it was back in the day, but still pretty fun imo.

I think I was 15-16 when it came out originally, I got to level 5 or something on leafcull or whatever the name of that homo non-pvp server was, and my friend convinced me to reroll on Darktide. I wasn't disappointed. That game was bitchin, even if I never really was high enough level to compete with the best at that time (guys were rolling around levels 50-60 when I'd finally gotten to 40, etc). I'd say the overall pvp quality of that game was second only to say Shadowbane, which is saying a lot.

Impressive that AC is still being updated even up to this day. I'd consider playing it again but Darkfall Unholy Wars is coming out soon and I figure I'll give that one a shot. I'm not much into big time investment / grindy games anymore, I just want something I can play several hours per week and be reasonably competitive with other players.

I believe I started out on HG. I remember rolling characters in Rithwic, then having to make the run to Eastham, since the Eastham beach was the "it" place on carebear servers to hunt. That was until OG mages became the thing, then it was straight to Qalabar to drain lugians, then the Disaster Maze to drain tuskers. Then mothereffing level 26, and I would get fucking war magic and get raped in the BSD because I forgot to bane my gauntlets. Ahh the good times.

I remember back in the day when the first guy hit level 100. Then the first guy maxed out at 126. Was so insane, because I always spent too much time rerolling characters to ever level worth a damn.

I never got to play Shadownbane. Always wanted to, but by then my dad wasn't happy that I played AC so much so wouldn't get another game like that. But find it hard for any games PvP to be better than AC. Pvping with a mage is epic.

AC was still quite the grind back when I last played. Not quite as bad, since basically every macros now, and usually noone would get banned for it. There are still some old school players that play also.

But you would probably flip out over the insane level of bitching nowadays. Most every battle is spent with people bitching that the other squad had 1 more man, or that people were pulling shields and shit. And I doubt it was like that back in the day.

Oh they even do live events sometimes still. Usually they would have an envoy playing on Bael, running around fighting throughout the major areas.
