Wink Tournament Advice - Part 1

In the early stages of most multi-table tournaments you’ll have a lot of chips. Relate to the blinds, so losing a bit 'at the beginning will not affect your chances of winning after all. For this reason playing small or medium pairs in hope for a three of a kind, while betting a little more than usual is a good strategy.

You have about 1/8 chance for your pair to get to a three-of a-kind on the flop, but when this happens you can then take this opportunity to leech on a lot of chips from those who have a pair higher than your initial hand.
The implied odds at this stage of the game are so high that even investing 5-10% of your stack in the hope of hitting a trio could prove profitable. This is true because you could win focusing on the flop, even if you can not tie the trio set, especially when you are in good position.
