    Default Two hands from today

    ---Hand 1---

Both villains are hella loose passive over tiny sample, like 80/0 each over 10

    UTG ($10.55)
    UTG+1 ($10.37)
    MP1 ($11.72)
    MP2 ($10.76)
    MP3 ($9.60)
    CO ($9.42)
    Hero (Button) ($10)
    SB ($5.47)
    BB ($2.96)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J, K
6 folds, Hero bets $0.30, SB calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20

    Flop: ($0.90) 4, A, J (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.40, SB calls $0.40, BB calls $0.40

    Turn: ($2.10) 8 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks

    River: ($2.10) K (3 players)
SB bets $0.40, 1 fold, Hero raise/fold? call?

I thought i was halfpotting the flop. I guess i could value it for more given they seem like stations and have a wide range here.

I like a raise on river but to how much? Hes betting small and looking pretty face up with one pair making up most of his range, 2pair is possible but id imagine he'd bet bigger with that.

    Abuse away :] ?

    ---Hand 2---

    Villain is 27/2 over 50

    MP1 ($4)
    MP2 ($10)
    CO ($10.66)
    Button ($10.23)
    SB ($5.90)
    BB ($6.69)
    Hero (UTG) ($11.58)
    UTG+1 ($8.44)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K, K
    Hero bets $0.40, 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.40, 1 fold, Button calls $0.40, 2 folds

    Flop: ($1.35) J, Q, 7 (3 players)
Hero bets $0.70, 1 fold, Button calls $0.70

    Turn: ($2.75) J (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, Button raises to $3, Hero calls amirite?

His minraise gives me pot odds of almost 5:1 to call. Hes never bluffing and rarely doing this with hands i can beat (i think) but stoving gives me odds to call and a call felt right at the time.

I think his range here is AQ, AJ, QQ, 77. (Am i missing anything obvious?)
Stoving this gives me 43% equity and i need about 21% to break even when calling. Granted, theres another round of betting to come...

edit: my flop bet is too small i think as well - i prefer .90-1.00

    ---Question---

Say that i call and he bets a blank river. Im thinking i could call a small enough bet like $2 but much higher than that and its probably a fold?

    Newbie Perspective.

    hand 1

    as it plays....

PF...I would force myself to fold here.

    FLOP... bet $0.90

    TURN... bet $1.50

    RIVER...bet $2.00

I don't think I could accurately predict their range so I would keep the pressure on. I would hope that any one of these bets wins me the pot.

    hand 1

i would reraise river to 1,3$-1,4$, fold to a shove, my guess his on Kx or week A, that bet is too small for a straight unless he wants you to shove thats why i fold if he shove after my reraise, a set would bet turn, 2 pairs with A pair high unlikely .

    hand 2

flop i'd bet 1$ pre flop range i give him 22-QQ, AJso+, after flop i guess i will narrow it to AJso, AQso, AKso, QQ,77, JJ,99, 1010

fold turn , you said he's never bluffing there, so fold. i see him reraise here on set, full and maybe AQ, but i think is a long shot calling here so better fold, if he is bluffing you, you'll get him on a better hand.

Hand 1: I would raise to about 2.00. You will probably get value from any Ax hands he has.

Hand 2: what are his aggression and fold-to-cbet stats? Use that information to try to put him on a range of hands that he (a) calls with on the flop and (b) raises with on the turn. Run that in pokerstove and see if you can call or not.

Also -- bet more on the flop.

H1: I'd check behind on the flop, your hand has showdown value, you don't want to be check raised or build a big pot vs all the aces they are holding. River, make a 3/4 pot size raise, to about $2.1

H2: Bet more on the flop, you are missing value. On the turn, I think if he had AQ he would have raised on the flop, not the turn. The rest of his range crushes you, so that would be a fold. I think he has a J a high % of the time here. Pity to have to dump it, but when fish comes alive it usually means a big hand.

In hand 1, decide if you did raise if you should fold to a shove. That will clarify if you're choosing between a raise/fold or a raise/call.
