Thanks for writting ranger and welcome to FTR, hope you get loads out of it. If you use the site a lot its really valuable, I have learnt loads mostly by putting hands in the MTT forum and reading what some of the other guys think. You will also get a lot from just reading the blogs. (probably not mine unless you are looking for what not to do!!)

Phill Gordon is not one of my favourite authors. To be honest I dont like any of his books (but only read 2). I think my chose strategy is very maths based I intend to keep adding more and more maths to my decision making as time goes on. i am aware, however, that I need to work on psycology a lot more and hope to do some research in that area soon.
