    Default Adventure of Rakeback Leftovers

    Hey everybody.

Long time no see. Looks like the sky has not fallen in the online poker world!

I have some $$ sitting @ full tilt for the past 5 months. I decided to see what I could do with it. After updating pokertracker, I have decided to build up a bit of bankroll (with encouragement of the good old setzerman).

Seems that fulltilt+rakeback is the best deal for me ATM. The days of neverending ongame & party bonuses are long since past. Full tilt seems to be close to an all time high according to pokersitescout.com

Heres the rules to my new adventure:
    1. Start with rakeback $$ leftover from previous adventure (166$).
    2. Play full ring no-limit poker, with pokertracker, and 2 monitors.
    3. Play 50-60 minute focused sessions.
    4. Blog regularly.
    5. Move up to 100NL before making a cashout.
    6. Keep up with my regular life (lots of life changes going on, new house, new job, new city).
    7. Have fun.

    Default Days 1&2.

So I have been playing 25NL, way underolled. However I knew that anything less I wouldnt take seriously.

The first day I was +1 stack, played fairly solid 4 tabling. I haven't quite figured out how to start a new pokertracker hand history database, and I havent tried all that hard to update my PAHUD. But i hope to do so soon. Any tips would be appreciated. I was actually making solid reads, and I am surprised how easy it has been to get back in rhythm.

The second day I played an hour session, +2.5 stacks. With my pokertracker woes, I havent been up to posting many hands. Perhaps I will in a few days. I 6 tabled 25NL FR, and kept confident.

    Current Broll - $250, 880 total hands.

I'm probably running hot, but 25NL during peak hours really has been straight forward. My stats are close to 22/11, maybe a bit looser.

Thanks for the support guys! I missed all of you and the close, supportive community here on FTR.

Here's some stuff I was up to since I last played:

    1. Learned a lot about whats new on the internet, experimented with some APIs, learned a lot about Web 2.0 stuff.

    2. Read a number of books, and listened to audiobooks as well.

    3. Purchased a home.

    4. Went to Vegas, but didnt play poker! Learned craps and got lucky there.

    5. Got another dog (2 papillons now).

    6. Got organized, implemented the "getting things done" program.

    7. Finished classes.

Today I played a quick session, broke even. Seemed like a lot of regulars this point in time, and 8 tabled! It was a bit crazy with the dogs barking and 8 tables going at once. Getting back in to the swing of things.

lol, that was me. I was posing in the "Post your last 10k hands" thread and saw Terry's "cocco_bill-esque graphs. Good to have you back man, and good luck building the BR back up. You should be back at $100nl in no time.

Ha, thanks for the confidence boost. Those were the days, pot limit @ pokerroom was a goldmine.

Back to the adventure - ran pretty cold today. Got Aces cracked, set under set. 2pr under 2pr, overpair under overpair. -3 buyins today.

    Broll 175$

Thanks for moving this post to the appropriate forum... back in my day there was no such forum!! (/old man voice)

So basically I'm treading water. I go up a stack here, then lose it in fateful hands. Perhaps im playing too loose, im 23/11. Overall I'm fairly satisfied with my play. Im not making huge mistakes, perhaps I should just tighten up pre flop and try to make more reads. I'll post stats at 10k hands, right now im near 3k.

    Current bank roll : 190$.

+2 buyins today after 2 50 minute sessions. Full ring has been pretty straightforward, big hands vs big hands. Ie full house v broadway straight, flopped nut flush vs 2nd flush. Playing during peak hours helped a lot today.

    Bankroll $195.

    finally,

watched my friend play some 6 max @ Absolute. Got inspired to play some shorthanded at Full-Tilt, donked off a stack. Then went back to full-ring, felt much more confident. Also fixed my PAHud! Im so excited to get rid of gametime+. Woohoo!

    Bankroll-$205
