Being a member of FTR for almost a year now, i thought it might be time for me to create my own Blog/operation. This blog will contain HH's with some pokery questions and pretty much all of my thoughts about ...everything. Alrighty, here goes....


Me and My Poker Story

My names Anthony(ant) and im from Brisbane, AUS. Im 19 years old, Im a keen musician, and one of the reasons i started playing poker was to save up for new gear(Axe and new Amplifier).
Im currently working part time (2 days a week Lool) so i have lots of time to grind. Most of you will frown upon this but....i dont really have a life plan atm. I dont goto uni/college and i don't intend too. The thought of Uni assesment and presentations e.t.c jst scares the crap outta me...If i did have a plan, i spose it would be to take life as easy as possible, and pretty much just have as much fun with my friends and life as i can. Sounds cheesy but meh. Bit of a teenagers way of thinkin eh.

Alot of you don't know me, actually..none of you know me. I dont post very often, but im on here pretty much everday, reading/studying. I feel my posts would do more harm then good, specially for the beginners. So i tend to jst browse rather then write stuff.

Poker:
As for poker, i started playing about august last year when me and my mates decided to have a home game one night. I fell in love with it from there and started playing freerolls at my local pubs. From there i discovered online and thought i could make some INSTA CAshhh by depositing 50 bucks and owning the noobs. I soon figured out how complex this game really is. I think u know how that went.lool.

So yeah about june this year i started grinding properly, starting at 10nl, then gradually getting to 100nl by this october. I recently just withdrew most of my roll to buy a new guitar and amp e.t.c so atm ive got roughly $1000.

Although i've made some cash over the last few months, i still really feel that im not understanding things properly. I really consider myself a very average player at the moment. There are alot of theoretical concepts that i dont understand. I think that i have a decent understanding of the practical side of things, and thats how i've managed to grind a roll. But yeh...still lots of areas in my game that need improvement.

I suppose this is my main reason for this Bloggy thing. I want to be 10x better then i am. So starting at 25nl with 1000, im gonna regrind and repeat the process, making sure i fully understand the basics before i get too the midstakes.


Goals

Get to 5k by February

1.get to 1500(50nl)
2. grind some more
3 = 5 k

An ambitious goal considering i've only got 3 and a half months....but we'll see how it goes. Ill post some other stuff on here soonish, but for now, its bed time. Feel free to ask any questions about...anything.
