I am not an expert on this but I accidentally stumbled on a way to extend the PT trial though I can't promise it will work as it was an accident for me.

Basically what I did is deleted all files in the "logs" folder in the PT3 directory on my Cdrive, uninstalled PT, redownloaded it, installed again, used CCleaner to fix all the registry problems I had. And the next time I opened PT the trial read 60 days again instead of only 17. Though it seems like your BR could easily support the purchase of PT3 at this point.
