Default Can u build a Bankroll From Nothing

    Hi all,
Follow me with my goal of building a poker bankroll from nothing. The only site I am going to play on is Carbon Poker.

I think the freeroll every 4 hrs. and this freeroll on here would be my best bet to start. What do u guys think?

Then once, I get alittle bit, I'll play cash games and single SNGs.
I'll update u with my progess.

Consider how many hours of freeroll playing it will take to earn your first $50. Possibly hundreds of hours. If you want an example of opportunity cost, here it is....
If you really interested in learning some poker, I suggest that you instead deposit $50 and spend these "freeroll hours" reading all posts in the beginners digest and grinding $2nl on poker stars - you will quickly be making poker $$.

That being said, there are a number of players here who have built a bankroll from nothing. Most of them would agree that the $50 deposit approach is smarter.

There're many freeroll to play for build your bankroll from nothing
EX. in Tourney > Freeroll in pokerstars
we have Hubble's NL , Hawking's FL , Daily Eighty Grand
but chance to win prize is very very low , I win it (get on prize pool position)about 1 time from 30 times

I'm agree with above comment so deposit $50 and play on micro first to build your bankroll is a better choice

my bankroll is entirely from freerolling casually for twelve months and then playing cash games. The freerolling was just casual evening entertainment though, the cash games is where I'm now playing seriously and learning. You don't have to deposit ....theres no deposit options available even some here in the FTR list.....just DON't take that option on sites where you can get rakeback...

    +1 daven!

If it is a matter of pride (and not generating profit) then have a ball. I'll add one thing. The 'skills' required to cash in freerolls do not translate well to actual cash play (IMO). Playing the push monkey style required to win in freerolls is not going to help your bankroll in the long run.

I totally agree with this .Ive been there done that and my freerolling success was all self taught. When it came to playing cash, (and something to lose) I was looking for help , found videos online which eventually led me to find FTR.
In my case , freerolling as entertainment led to a bankroll, rather than trying to create a bankroll by freerolling which is a subtle but important difference.

I agree, it is possible to build a bankroll from nothing. I did it once just as test. And, I'm going to do it again on Pitbull.

I think u stay in lower limit games and have good bankroll management u should be fine. But I will tell u this. It's not easy.

    Gd luck though.

Haha...omg. You did wish yourself good luck.
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.
