Are you specifically posting this here because you want it to be public? If it's because you have no better way of keeping records, let's talk sometime. I'll help you out with that.

Are you playing a single MTT per night?
    I run a training site...

Check out strategy videos at GrinderSchool.com, from $10 / month.

Yes - it's cuz I want it public. It will hopefully give me the needed ass kicking if I regress.

In general, yes I play only one MTT a night (that's why long streaks of no FTs is more common for me - but also frustrates me). However, I will often play Limit at the same time.

Do I read it right that you spend $180 in a $6 rebuy MTT? And still came 301st? I think I understood rebuys even less than I did before

Lol - I am bad but not that bad. For whatever reason, I have it typed out like a spread sheet but when it posts here it condenses it.

The 6 is total buy-ins - at $30 = $180. Yes I came in 301/866. I played fine though - my AQ ran into small suited cards which flopped a flush and I didn't have enough of a stack to retreat. Happens.

I did get to play against soupie for a bit, which is always fun.

This post is in response to the subtle jabs at my manliness because I don't have DSL.

I consider any money that comes into our house to be OUR money (not MY money). And when she is earning over 6 figures in about 5 years I will still consider it to be the same. If I really wanted DSL, I could get it. But dial-up works. I can only remember a handful of times where I have been disconnected in important hands. Would those hands probably have paid for DSL - yeah. But I don't care.

My wife and I have open dialogs about poker. When I first started getting a little better than average I made her a promise that I would play with the $1k I had won at that point and that's it. She considers the money I have at poker sites to be "funny money"; however we have agreed that whenever I cash out, that money is now "real money" - i.e. it ain't part of the poker bankroll anymore. Although I have gotten down to less than $100, I have never broken my original promise and have not had to redeposit.

As I have gotten better and have turned that $1k into almost $20 k I have started to play higher stakes I have let her know that my actual bankroll needs to be higher in order to withstand some hits. As it stands right now, we have agreed that I can keep $10,000 to use as my "funny money" - everytime I get it over $11,000 I am going to cash out $1,000. If I feel the need to juice my "funny money" up to $15k or higher so that I can start playing even bigger tourneys, than I'll discuss that with her and we'll come to another agreement. But right now I feel comfortable playing my $10/$20 with at least 500 buy-ins and picking my MTTs as I feel are appropriate.

I will continue to detail my daily sessions here.

I'm playing $10/20 Limit at the 5-man-max tables at Dise at the moment as my cash game.

I am probably going to get pokertracker and expand to other sites for that though, as there is not a huge pool of players there.

I’ve played much smaller limits at stars and party, and just finished the Paradise bonus playing .5/1 (all full ring), and I have to say paradise was hands down the best.

Although there is not a huge pool, the dise players were so awful compared to stars and party. The software at dise is just as good as stars and so much better than party.

    By the way nice post!

    Just an update -

Last two months playing here are my totals:

    63 tourneys +3035(profit)/9710 (entry fees) = 31% ROI

    Limit: +5785

    Total profit = +8820.

I am going to continue my thread below from tonight on (until August).
