I was really happy bout this too

i deposited the $500, cos the terms in my bonus offers said 2x points, but then it showed up as 8x once deposited. Lucky I had a screen shot of the original offer. Now I'm fighting it out with party poker support...

No, I do not understand. I do not understand that 2x and 8x are the same.
Your explanation is unclear. I have a degree in mathematics, I'm not stupid. Please try to explain again.
2x points = 2x 500 = 1000 points to clear the entire bonus.
200 points for every $100.

I quote:

"If the player deposits $500, they will get back 5 lots of $100. They
must wager a total of 8 x 500 PartyPoints (1.6 x 5 slabs) = 4000
PartyPoints. The release requirements for each slab are therefore 4000
divided by 5 = 800 PartyPoints per slab, i.e. for each $100."

this makes absolutely no sense. You stated (see the attachment that I included earlier) that the clear rate was 2xpoints. There was no indication that it was 2 (or 1.6) x 5 x points. Heck, you could have arbitrarily made it 2 (or 1.6) x 5000 x points, or any other value.

Please pass this on to your manager, I am very concerned at what appears to be an attempt to deceive. In the meantime, my funds are sitting in my party poker account, where you are accruing interest on the account balance. Although this is minor, I'm sure it adds up over a wide number of players.

If this is not cleared up, I will not be playing on party poker again. As I am sure you already know, online poker is a competitive market and there are a number of reputable companies that do not resort to deceit to earn their profit.
