reading a couple of samoleus posts on 2+2 and they're interesting, but not as obviously groundbreaking as they must have been a few years ago. Interesting to see how the games have morphed

i'm getting kinda bored of being a 0.5-1ptBB/100 winner, and the sick variance that brings. I'm also over the fact that my rakeback/promo earnings exceed my earnings at the table.
$2-$3k a month is nice, sure, but $30-$40/hr isn't the reason I play poker, or at least it isn't the goal. This month, case in point. So far I'm up about $1k at the tables, a little over $1k in RB, currently looking good for a couple hundred bucks in some rake race, as well as accruing $x in ironman medals etc.

I'm kinda scared about moving back to 200nl, my game obviously has fundamental flaws and the higher in stakes i move the more these flaws are going to cause me problems.
Ok, a couple of things i can do about this. Sessions where i play well and get hit by variance should be fine - these balance out. Sessions where i play poorly are not fine. Replace 'sessions' with 'hands' in that sentence and we're talking about a-game again.

I think my biggest leak is sessions where i play badly. Loads of others obviously, but I think my a-game is more like 2-3ptBB/100 winning at these stakes. Bring the a-game. Another huge leak is 10-40bb pots, i'm going to look at these more closely. I'm also in need of sorting out a couple of the laggier regs who seem to have good reads on me.

anyway, just ended one of those annoying sessions where people always folded to my aces pre, except for once (see below), where i couldn't hit shit, where villains calling down with KQ on Kxxx vs my AK hit their river three outers, etc.

UTG+1 has ATC, sb has JJ-KK/AK so the line is good etc
