    Default Distracting to $3K

It's been a while. 6+ months of work, travel and same crazy and often f-ked up sh!t. More stories right now than I care to wrap my head around -- and some that probably never will.

Limited mobility so limited options for distraction. And poker will fit the bill just fine. The goal is $3K. BR is $1K and I'll stick with $25NL 6m for right now. Will post some hands, some miscellaneous sh!t and try to get back into this.

Money, mind and memoriam. Will fit the need for now.

Dude... I already did the "$2 to $9001 in 12 days playing only HU Pot Limit on Sports Book sites beginning with a 'P'" Op... you just missed it.

Second post, here we at. Short and sweet 'cause I got a date with some Vicodin and a nap.

    1) Actually started this Op beginning of the month. Just didn't get to making it official until today. Here's where I'm at so far.

    2) That includes tonight's session, which was as so...

I'll look through the HHs tomorrow for anything tasty.

Okay... I'm posting this sh!t so you all can yell at me... really... so I don't do this sh!t again....

I'll start this with I just dropped 4 BIs at 25NL. Part of the problem was absolutely no big wins. AA 4 times and folded round to a standard PFR. Hit sets twice and everyone folded the flop. Flopped a boat with an Axx board... even checked the bitch to try and drag an Ax along... no dice, 2 PF callers folded to 1/2 PSB on the Turn.

    $2.90 my biggest win...

So sh!t getting set up to tilt me already...

My plan for this session was to really focus on range over range as opposed to just thinking about my hand. It's lesson #1 I picked to focus on from mining the reg's posts.

    So hand #1 is this...

Vil is 19/13/2.4, 3b 4% from the SB over 6.2K hands and oh... I've been stealing a bunch over the first few orbits. He also 3bs 5% v a steal, so I think I'm ahead of his 3bet.... so I 4bet... so he shoves. No f-kin way I'm ahead of his shoving range, but oooohh... big pot and I'm past the commitment threshold... I has to call...

F-ck... my range v range read was right.

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
    SB ($25)
    BB ($24.30)
    UTG ($32.10)
    UTG+1 ($43.68)
    CO ($26.02)
    Hero ($25)

    Dealt to Hero AT

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.85, SB raises to $3, fold, Hero raises to $10, SB raises to $25 (AI), Hero calls $15 (AI),

    FLOP ($50.25) 628

    TURN ($50.25) 628Q

    RIVER ($50.25) 628Q4

    Hero shows AT
    (Flop 15.1%, Turn 6.8%)

    SB shows KA
    (Flop 84.9%, Turn 93.2%)

    SB wins $47.74

So it's nothing but a thing... play some more hands then hand #2...

Vil is 45/20/3.5 over 20 hands. I got no notes above this. Except he's been showing down all kinds of random sh!t. Can we guess what he showed down with?

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
    Hero ($25.10)
    BB ($25)
    UTG ($21.04)
    UTG+1 ($69.38)
    CO ($20.18)
    BTN ($26.69)

    Dealt to Hero JA

fold, CO raises to $0.85, fold, Hero raises to $3, fold, CO calls $2.15,

    FLOP ($6.25) 8JA

check, CO bets $3, Hero raises to $10, CO raises to $17.18 (AI), Hero calls $7.18,

    TURN ($40.61) 8JA8

    RIVER ($40.61) 8JA82

So you know what's good when u just go from 93% favorite on the Flop to 92% dog on the Turn? Well... shoot a glass of scotch and play more aggressively!

    Hand #3 has vil at 22/16/3.2 over 2.1K hands, 6% 3b, 50% fold to CB and 35/33/25 street agression. He's W$SD 45% and a 30bb/100 loser over my sample.

So I decide to flat his Bu raise w/ ATs for a change... no real reason except I just got f-ked in the ass on the previous hand. When I flop TPTK, I figure I'm ahead against his range. Donk it to protect on a drawie board and get min-raised.

Oh... okay, so I don't fault calling to see the Tu with 5 outs to top set or better 2 pr vs a possible aggressive draw. Turn ain't sh!t, and I check (figure it's a brick so I want to see what he does...)... and what he does is push a health PSB. Um... my brain says "I don't think you're ahead of this range anymore... 99+,T9,44,33,QJs... my dick says ---- SHOVE!!!

I don't really know why, 'cause he's pot f-kin committed at this point, but hey, I has the TPTK! I'll just shut the f-k up on this hand for now....

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
    Hero ($25)
    BB ($32.85)
    UTG ($64.92)
    UTG+1 ($33.86)
    CO ($25.25)
    BTN ($40.07)

    Dealt to Hero AT

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $1, Hero calls $0.90, fold,

    FLOP ($2.25) 9T4

Hero bets $1.85, BTN raises to $3.70, Hero calls $1.85,

    TURN ($9.65) 9T43

check, BTN bets $10, Hero raises to $20.30 (AI), BTN calls $10.30,

    RIVER ($50.25) 9T432

Well... f-k it... I'm down 3 BI's already (at least I'm honest.... I only think I was robbed on one of them...) So more scotch, and...

BTW... you know when you crank the volume on Lilly Allen your sh!t is basically baked, cooked, f-cked... just, well, stop.....

    And on to hand #4....

Vil is 33/29.2.9 over 650 hands. 12% 3b, 46/30/18 street ag and 35% fold to cbet. ATS is 59%

He raises... I go f-ck you, I soooooo squash your range and 3bet him. He calls. Comes the flop... yeah that looks pretty tasty, I mean, Tx hit, 33 & 77, but I don't see any scs or gappers besides 89 that make anyone excited. So he folds to ATS in the blinds 70/76 respectively, so maybe he's capable of folding... Plus, wasn't I the PF 3bettor?

So BAAAAM... oh, you raise me? ... I've seen you stack off with 3rd pair. I'm calling this b!tch!!!

I include the results for comedic value....

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    NL Holdem $0.25(BB) Replayer
    SB ($25.10)
    Hero ($25.35)
    UTG ($44.99)
    UTG+1 ($22.95)
    CO ($38.63)
    BTN ($46.84)

    Dealt to Hero AK

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $0.80, fold, Hero raises to $3.25, BTN calls $2.45,

    FLOP ($6.60) T37

Hero bets $4.85, BTN raises to $14.60, Hero raises to $22.10 (AI), BTN calls $7.50,

    TURN ($50.80) T377

    RIVER ($50.80) T3772

    BTN shows 38
    (Flop 76.3%, Turn 79.5%)

    Hero shows AK
    (Flop 23.7%, Turn 20.5%)

    BTN wins $48.26

Oh... and he included a "your mother" for no apparent reason as a chat coda...

I think I need to take a break... Please yet the yelling commence....

Jack - What up bro? I looked and saw the bar said "closed"... was very sad.....

6 months+ of crazy sh!t. Included 2 mos around Kabul (mostly Jalalabad). A couple of weeks between Kandahar and Harat... and was rewarded with a trip to Landstuh/Ramstein for my trouble. Been on the recovery since.

Been back home, trying to get back into the pokers... Oh, and got a new baby girl too which adds an extra reason to stick around

I'm good man. See, I knew I shoulda been worried, with all those crazy and unstable (read= BOMBS!) places.

The bar is currently closed, but will be reopened shortly. I just have to take care of a few things first poker-wise. Also, even though its closed, everybody can still drop in after hours

Congrats on the baby! You just got an additional headache!

Thx bro... I'll definitely drop by...

The thing you need to be thinking about in hand 1 isn't if we're ahead of his 3bet range, but rather, are we ahead of his 4bet calling or 5 bet shoving range (once we 4bet). If by 4 betting we're narrowing his range to only the hands that beat us then flatting the 3bet is the better option.

hey sarbox, glad to have you back in one piece and grinding away again - cheers - we'll meet up at Jack's Bar for the grand reopening
