Had my best day of poker ever today, ran like a god. 35 tournaments played and finished in the money 20 times for a sick 57%, 1st - 6, 2nd - 7, 3rd - 7. 60.49% ROI. I can only expect the doomswitch to come soon.

Nova: easily attainable at the 38s.

Nova Elite: damn hard at those stakes. You'd need to play 134 per day at the 55+5s for 300 days to get it. But the true benefits of Nova Elite only show up in full like the year after obtaining it, and you have to grind hard to keep them.

thinking of moving to 12, and eventually 16, much to the dismay of spenda.

Life on the beach is good! Unfortunately, I still didn't get a tan.

I had an amazing time and it was awesome to get away from the 0º weather. I'm very far behind pace now and will have to make up for lost time having not played for 11 days.

Will update at the end of the month and hopefully will have at least 7k VPPs by then.

    Welcome back!

I tried to use your blog as inspiration to clear my bonus (I even had more time), but I got too lazy and now it's almost expired

You still have time!! Go go go!! (Just stay away from $38 - $60 sngs )
  25. #175
Wow I have just been killed since I got back from my trip.... running so so so bad, way behind pace and just don't even feel like playing. Oh the swongs. Hope this starts to turn around before the month is over.

I'm about 150 SNGs behind pace. Trying to add 5-10 extra every day for the next few weeks, but there's no way I'm going to be able to play every day all year, I'm not gonna kid myself. I will probably have a grinding weekend or something soon where I'll try to play 500 soon.

Break even over my last 200 SNGs, not fun! Been trying to increase my tables from 8 to 12, and think I finally found a layout that works for me. Here is a shot from today:

I hate having small windows, I tried 12 tabling with 6 small windows on 2 screens, but it just doesn't work for me. I do like to be able to see most of the table, but when it's small I'm constantly taking 4-5 extra seconds to verify stack sizes, bet sizes, etc. With Stars' mutli-table features, it makes it fairly simple because a window will popup when you have to act. I haven't actually timed out using this yet, but it's nice to be able to see if I am sitting out in case it ever happens.

I also finally installed AHK today, the bet pot script is very very useful. Also downloaded SFSO (Stars Filtered SNG Opener) which is supposed to help with registering new sngs whenever you bust out, closing tourney lobbies, etc, but I'm really not sure how I like it. It didn't seem to work right, not sure if I just was using it incorrectly or something. I'll look more into it later.

Now that I can regularly 12 table my games per day should increase, and hopefully can get back on track. Only played for about 2 hours today but was able to get 40 sngs in, and 18/day is par for supernova.

Now if only I could win money.

That was more a dual stab at both of us never succeeding (although you had a moment there in cash and gave up), than me thinking you will fail here.

More something friendly. Then after we both fail at failing then courtie can take over for highest postcount:skill ratio

Why don't you stack? You can play more tables and you don't have to move the mouse. Also, this software might be great for SNGs.

    http://tableninja.com/index.php

I have tried this software and its not bad. The more tables you add though the slower it is. But, it does help to reduce the amount of movement needed like clicking the slide bar and shit. You can preset bet amounts. Like when a table pops up, 3xbb will be auto listed in the bet box. Similar to betpot script but cleaner. Also can set xbb + limper.

Couldn't agree more Mr. Son of Carl... STACK IT UP!!
So you click their picture and then you get their money?
  34. #184
I have tried just stacking 'em up, but I didn't like it. Maybe it just takes some getting use to? I'm always worried that I missed a table and am sitting out or something, idk. I like seeing all the tables at once, maybe I'm just weird.

Software looks very cool, ty for the link!

AHK for never sit out and I'm back. Guarantee that you will not have anything to worry about. If you are only playing 12 tables and you have your shit together, you shouldn't timeout. You can also find a script that moves tables to a spot on your screen if you need to spend more time at that table. That way you can play the other tables while you are thinking. Visit the software forum on 2+2.

Wow, you're pretty much the reason I'm sure I'll make Supernova now... at least I can't use the excuse of not having enough time. The never sit out + bet pot script is awesome. Also am using the StarsHotKeys to auto close stuff. I can now easily 12-16 table without any problems at all, on one monitor. This is great stuff, thanks Sprayed.

Played 60 SNGs today. Through 45 of them I was up $700, then I didn't cash in my last 15.

Still not on pace, but looking better. Pace is 7,945 and I'm at 5,574. Not this weekend but the weekend after I'm going to shoot for a loooong grind to get back to pace and then some.
  39. #189
No problem! I've been 15-20 tabling FR 50NL with those scripts and I am +$500 for Jan. So meh, but I'm a cash noob. I have 75,000 hands for the month, 16,236 VPPs, and 40,590 FPPs. Fortunately, I had FPPs carry over from last year so I am now at 63,500.

It will be interesting to see how much faster you will accumulate points from SNGs as you add tables compared to playing cash. I might change if it appears that you are doing better at making money and points playing SNGs.
  40. #190
No, stay away from the sngs!

Well January is over. As I said before, I'm behind pace and I haven't played since the 29th. But if I hadn't have been gone to the Bahamas without playing for 14 days, I would be crushing pace right now. Also, the first half of these SNGs I was only 8 tabling, and now I am comfortable 16 tabling. I guess I'm not too disappointed for 12 days of playing. Here's some garfs and stats:

Would have been nice to make money my last 250 SNGs!

So in 403 tournaments I made 5,574 VPPs and about 9,648 FPPs. However I started out only at Silverstar. February I'm shooting for a ton more volume and Platinumstar to start racking up the VPPs/FPPs, oh and the dough.
  41. #191

As for a progress update, I'm negative for the month, behind pace, just deposited $1k for the $250 Stars reload, and am hoping to turn this around.

Also read an awesome article about goals and habits - http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...s-into-habits/

I've realized that is this really is a half ass Supernova effort, I won't make it. I'm seeing how much time I'm willing to dedicate this until the end of February.

Weird thing happened yesterday. I went to go logout after another losing session and Stars gave me a warning saying You are currently registered in some SNG tournaments, blah blah. So I check my registered in tournaments, and nothing comes up. Confused I e-mail Stars. In all their glory they reply with:

    Hello Carl,

    Thank you for your email.

I have looked into your playing history for Tournament #139647253 and #139650248 and found that you missed a substantial portion of this tournament. As we consider you a valued player at PokerStars I have issued a credit of $27.00 and $38.00 to your account.

In closing, we appreciate your business and hope that you continue to enjoy playing at PokerStars.
So that's good. I checked the HH for those tournaments and I was sitting out the entire time. I looked more cloesly into this and it seems the Never Sit Out feature on StarsHotKeys AHK stopped working... maybe related to the last update? So if I did happen to time out, it wouldn't auto sit me back in. Weird.

Anyway, Stars rules the world like always and I continue to lose money.

Also never got the $1000 deposit to go through yet, still waiting on Stars to increase my deposit limit. Kind of weird that they offer a reload bonus when you have to deposit $1k when the max deposit is $600. I also heard that they can't raise the limit on eChecks no matter what, which sucks. If they can't not sure how I will be able to, hopefully my CC will work.
