happy 11/12 yal. today is day 6 of me actually getting out of bed and running on the treadmill for at least 25 mins, so it's a habit i'm forming. this is good, really good. for the past 12 months i have been getting shit for exercise, and it's really starting to show. i weigh more than i ever have, and just generally feel weak/lazy/sick/etc. the goal is to run 6-7 days per week in the morning and eventually start throwing in weight lifting. but i don't want to overload or get too ahead of myself, one habit at a time.

in just 6 days i've already improved my distance:

11/7 - 1.57 mi , 25:46 - d/m = 0.060931
11/12 - 1.84 mi , 25:30 - d/m = 0.072157

but i don't want to congratulate myself yet, i'm just a total stats geek. i won't post about stats again until day 30.

i heard an interesting quote about habits once. 80% or something of people put their right leg in first when putting on pants. it's a habit. if you notice this and intervene and instead put your left leg in first, within 30 days or so, the habit will change and you will be a left firster unconsciously. never tried it, just sounded neat.
