It's always the same thing though, alarm goes off, I think okay get up, get up, geeettt upp... fuck it I'll hit snooze. There have been times when I hit snooze for like 2 hours.

But the thing is, when I actually do get out of bed, go to the bathroom, brush teeth, etc, I feel awake. I just need to actually get up. Getting up and out of bed is the problem. Anyone have any tricks to this? I'm probably just being lazy idk.
ugh I have this EXACT problem. I have snoozed for 2 hours multiple times in recent memory. I love snoozing, it feels soooooooo good!!!

This is making me sad because a few days ago I decided to change my ways and start getting up at the sound of my alarm. It worked for 3 days. Then yesterday I went back to bed after getting up. Then today I snoozed for 40 min. Sigh.

The problem with us is that we're usually not forced to get up for anything (work, school) so we just stay in bed cuz it feels good. For me it's a matter of discipline. I have to will myself to stay up once I turn off my alarm (my alarm is across the room but this usually doesn't matter). It takes an amazing amount of discipline for me to not go back to bed, it SUCKS!!!

Looks like you just need to make this another habit. A few months ago I tried to make it a habit after reading an article about waking up at the same time every day. That lasted like 10 days and that's the longest I've ever gone without having work/school to wake up for If I could make it 30 days in a row maybe I'd have a chance to make it stick, but 30 days feels like FOREVER!
