Goals: Evolving my game through small goals
So why do I make a post here, well this post is here for one reason and that is to help myself evolve my poker-game. But of course i made the post here to gain some of your spot on commentaries and insights and I'd like to encourage discussion within this thread. I will start to write about some of the big issues, i have realised I had. And please if you want to say something, where u think i suck or anything say it right out of the bag, dont wrap it in.
1. Be able to maintain focus/concentration on the table for more than 10 secs. What I think my problem were/is, was that because I won some MTT, I must be the top dog. Wrong! I need to be able to follow the hands, like this or something like it: Raise from UTG with a 4 x BB, the next 3 players fold, Cutoff + 1 calls, Cutoff, Hero on the Button and blinds folds. But the first and my main priority is to be able to keep my focus and not to let my mind wander off.
I would let my ups and downs in poker affect my life. What do you do about this? I would read strategy on here, but didn't really apply it to my game. Anyone experienced that?
2. But it wasn't like I was bad at everything poker, I do have one thing i'm very great at, atleast according to myself – Im very good at patience – waiting for hands for hours. But of course this skill can also turn in to a huge weakness, I need to wait for the right time to make a move with the right hands – not just get blinded out! I was also very disciplined when according to bankroll management, I simply couldn't play comfortable when I wasn't within the correct amount of buy-ins! Good or bad thing, I dont know?
So my first goal is to be able to maintain focus/concentration on the table. Im gonna start practising with the new 3,5$ + 30 c, Super turbo sngs on FT. Not to make money but bc they are much shorter.
So my main larger goal, is to be able to make 40$ a day. I think or hope that i'll be able to maintain a ROI of 15% in 22s. So i'll play around 12 sng's a day which should according to my ROI make me 40$, even though I might loose 50$ one day - but 120$ the next day. So over the long run (a month) should average 40$ per day. So I should start with a BR of minimum 400$
What do u think of this?
