The url tags do work in this forum. I don't think you can use them for images, though.

They didn't work with the google address when I did it in the post above.
(as you can see)
They worked fine with the image address though.

As I said, I'm pretty sure it's the apostrophe in the URL that's eating the functionality. BBcode is likely "taught" to enclose addresses in single quotes, so when it gets to that it backs out.

This is not something you're going to want to "fix" -- but there should be a way of escaping it so that BBcode ignores it.

change the ' to %27

FYI: The %20 is a url encoded space so

http://images.google.com/images?q=5'5 105 C cup

is the same thing if you copy and paste into the address bar
