Its been a little while since I have updated. My head is so much more level now that is was a month ago. I think that the newb thought process in terms of tilt has been mostly eliminated and the numbers are getting easier to recognize. I had a HUGE downswing this month that lasted 1/3rd of my over all sample (but then I realized that stats don't matter). I was really worried that I was doing something different until I checked my cEV adjusted..lol I ran like shit. Ill end on this thought:
Poker is long term but what does that really mean? The game of poker is a constant. It is always there but never changes. Whether it be MTT, SnG, or Cash the numbers never change in terms of equity. Equity will always be equity. We choose when to jump into the game and when to jump out. Here is a better example to illustrate what I mean.
You multi and have 6 games going in front of you. 2 things happen, little things and global things. Little things like opponent reads happen and big things like shoving AA is unexploitable (just examples). These things are universal, meaning they are the same on all tables. You will always be able to make unexploitable plays and villain reads. So really, even though you have 6 games going at once you really have 1 game going called your "session".
Each game you play nothing more than an investment you are making during your session. Its almost like jello. If you mix a whole bunch of jello together, you really just end up with more jello. Poker seems to have the same effect. Now think of your jello filled with money. Only each individual small jello piece has a certain $ amount in it. When you shove it all together is where your profits come from.
This seems pretty abstract but I don't want to delete it all. I hope someone gets the message in there
