I'm not going to field poker-related questions right now, though. I'm not in Costa Rica for that. Well, not so much to play poker, anyway. I have some poker-related business to take care of. Though, I'm sure playing poker will come after I'm done traveling around all over the country this first month.

I did make $800 tonight at the 1/2 NLHE game at Casino Paradiso across the street from where I'm staying in San Jose, though. This was only my second session since arriving here. Last week (after just being here a few days), I played drunk and sloppy and lost $400. Tonight, I drank nothing but water.

The average Tico (Costa Rican) makes about $500 per month, and you can live on that here, though you won't have any of the comforts you're used to and take for granted in the States. I played for 4-1/2 hours.
