It's not always a small bet, it's situational. I've also shoved my TPTK on the scary card IP and still been ahead when called. Depends on the villain. If you get c/bombed you aren't always folding. Think about the villain's line, put him on a range, evaluate your equity and make your decision right?

I don't get into these spots more than a couple of times a tourney anyway, but I think in general it's just good to be aware of your own image as you play - lines taken, hands shown down... Even at the micros people can adjust if you make the same move repeatedly.
