    Default The nit

Ima be a nit for 10k hands. I'll be 8-tabling 6max at 10nl. I've run around 22/17 in the past, I'll aim for roughly 15/12 or 15/10. If I'm playing that tight, I wont want to blow fish out of pots from position. Any suggestions on how to go about it or what goals to aim for are welcome. A specific #/# sucks as a goal. I'm more looking for being the thinking-nit.

Is there such a thing as a thinking nit? If a nit thought he would not be a nit

I don't think vpip makes you a nit. I only have an 18 vpip and I get my money in bad all the time, so how can I be a nit?

ok, obviously some explanation is in order.

The idea here is not to learn to be a nit. The idea is to play nittier.

    For the following reasons:
    - I'm trying to get inside the head of a nit. I don't understand them... like, at all.

    - I'm breaking the monotony of rebuilding a bankroll. Which is like banging your head up against the wall for a few hours a day.

    - I'm dumbing down my game so I stop leveling myself.

    - I want to prove to myself that nitty play is actually profitable at micros. It should be, given the amount of unaware players. FPS has been a problem for me in the past.

So I'm playing tighter and more passive. I'm exploring that region of the game.

So far I've noticed that for a nit, it takes a lot longer for your stats to average out. Playing my normal style, my stats tended to be much closer to my average on each table a lot quicker than now, playing tighter.

Also, it's a really big adjustment, and I'm struggling a bit with certain situations. It makes me think that a lot of times I haven't been adjusting enough. I've gotten too comfortable.

I am 2100 hands in, and I've got a ton of hands to post, so that'll be the next update as soon as I get all the formatting done.

    River: ($1.42) 2 (2 players)
