Just finished 23rd out of 558, top 18 cash. This is starting to get annoying. I mean, alteast I'm not losing money on these...
I'm sitting at 21K, around the avg. stack and I get 10 10. My first thought was to just fold til I get in the money. Blinds are 600/1200. A guy with about 28K raises to 3000, I call and so do 2 others. Flop comes out 3 3 4. I bet 4K, the raiser goes all in. I thought about this for a while before finally calling. I put him on AK, b/c why would he bet so high with AA or KK? He ended up having KK.
Any advice on how to play when you're close to the bubble? I usually play more agressive, raising pre-flop since people become tight, but it usually comes back to bite me. (ex. placing 21st and 23rd with top 18 cash). I'm considering putting on auto fold until the top 18 from now on...
