    Default OP:Building a big roll

    Hello Everyone!

I just got done with a 30 day exclusion. It was a long time to be away from the game, but I used my time well. Spent time with my family, took time to do things I haven't done in a while, and study poker.

Much of the studying I did involved range work. Also focusing on value betting, calling in the right places, and bluffing profitably. I'm fully rolled for 10nl, but I'm not going to start moving up until I can consistently put my new skills into practice.

I also had some tilting issues, and ended up not playing correctly in situations due to that. I reconnected with friends and family during my time away and feel better about myself. Letting poker control my emotions wasn't good for myself or anyone. I should be happy regardless of how well I do at poker. I have family, friends, and other positive things in my life. I think this new outlook will help me in a lot of ways, poker included.

    Anyways, back to poker...

    My Goal:
I'm starting at 5NL (6-Max) and my goal is to build my bankroll up to $3000. I feel it's pretty long ways from where I am now, but I think if I can make it that far, I can probably go anywhere in the poker world.

-Thanks for reading and good luck out there!

Played my first good session today. I'm up $8.94 (80.14bb)

    Some stats...
    I ran 30/22.9/2.33 over 223 hands
    19% WTSD%, 33% W$SD%, 39.7 Agg%, 0% Flop Fold vs. Cbet, 66% vs. 3bet Fold, 63.2% CBet Success, 76% Flop Cbet

Er...I think I played a bit laggy, which is really unusual for me. I wasn't even getting exceptionally good hands, table was just sort of weak...really weak. Maybe they always were and I'm just seeing it more now than before.

I had trouble getting any value out of any good hand...I thought since I was running so loose that eventually I called down often...which never happened.

Some hands I'm not too fond of...

-I was trying to hit 2pair by calling the turn, I don't think it's such a great idea anymore.

    No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (5 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP ($3.48)
    CO ($1.82)
    Hero (Button) ($22.19)
    SB ($11.87)
    BB ($5.41)
    UTG ($9.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9, J
3 folds, Hero bets $0.20, 1 fold, BB calls $0.15

    Flop: ($0.42) 5, 2, J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.25, BB raises $0.55, Hero calls $0.30

    Turn: ($1.52) 4 (2 players)
    BB bets $0.55, Hero folds

    Total pot: $1.52

-Wasn't really sure what MP was betting with here, but when I hit my 2 pair I really didn't want to scare him off...The turn minraise looks pretty foolish(especially the 2nd one), I could have built a MUCH bigger pot by betting normally.

-I start my own table rather than joining ones already in progress.
-I am currently playing without a HUD, and instead relying solely on reads/notes that I take.
