    Default Operation 100nl Domination

I may as well post here to get back on track - hopefully I can get some advice from hands I x-post from my blog. I had to cash out my $5k roll last September due to family circumstances beyond my control, and I've been making just enough to break even after paying my bills and stuff. I'll be setting monthly goals and will update every day in hopes to improve my game and get a bankroll again.

My roll right now is $950, and I'm 9-tabling nl25 at FTP. I can't convert hands from the hand converter because it doesn't recognize FTP. My goal for Jan 31st is $1400 - it's a pretty marginal goal and should be achievable but I'm having sooo many breakeven sessions and it's frustrating.

Today - I played 800 hands earlier and won a whopping $2.95 after winning 2.5 buyins in the first 400 hands.

    Hands from today:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135689 - obv this hand plays itself
    http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135690 - semi-bluff ftw
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135691 - villain is pretty pissed at me after the above set over set
    http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135692 - standard

and then we go back on our downward spike..
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135693 - villain and I have a lot of history, pretty unfortunate hand.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135694 - ugh, on turn I really thought villain had a draw just by the way he thought about it before he called, I just couldn't fold.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135695 - pretty gay blind v blind situation. I could've folded the turn though.
    http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135697 - fuck shortstacks
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/135698 - villain and I have a LOT of history, I've been 3betting and 4betting him a lot. I decided to see a flop here with a somewhat disguised hand, and I figured he didn't hit the flop.. unfortunately tptk is the nuts.

Played 3 $10+1 mtts, lost a buyin set under set, and another buyin KK v AA. This is getting to be ridiculous.

Played a smallish session this afternoon - Renton talked me into trying full ring, I played 800 hands and finished +$7

Just played another smallish session, 700 hands at 6max. Here's my two biggest losses in the session, I don't think I could've played the 1st one differently, and the 2nd one I probably could've folded river.

    http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/136229

There was also a set on a monotone board that turned into a 4-flush board so I had to dump it (villain showed 22 with a flush sigh)

I did win a nice pot with TT on a QT297 board against QJ, and also with QQ on a 924 flop, I bet/3bet allin and was good against 98s.

    br - $881

Played a sick session today, only had 3 pots I lost that were over 40 bbs. And they were pretty unfortunate.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?767349 - I figured I was ahead here enough times to get allin on the flop. Sigh, I can't win my 60/40s
http://www.pokerhand.org/?767450 - Pretty standard against shortstacks, it's how I run.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?767451 - Like I said, how I run against shortstacks. Sighhh. They're taking so much off my winrate. :P

Today was shitty. Took another shot at nl50, and lost 4 buyins in 300 hands. I looked at my PT database for a couple hours two days ago and wrote down my leaks.. one was "Overplaying draws on flop" - well I def. overplayed 2 draws and lost two buyins there. Sigh.

So after FTP came back online this morning, I played a session of 25nl. Started off like normal.. stack someone, get stacked; stack someone, get stacked.. etc. Then I hit a good stretch of cards.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?771313 - Standard KK v AA, not getting away from it. Meh, that was 5 hands into my session.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771315 - Same table, I think I played this pretty well, it played itself out on the turn, but I think flatting was correct on the flop, right?
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771316 - Same villain from the TT v AK hand. Knew he was raising a lot of hands, and was calling my 3bet a lot. Really fucking unfortunate that I can't win these hands. Meh.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771317 - Pretty much played itself out I guess. I didn't think villain had much, I figured he was just raising putting me on AK, so I c/r the turn just to get more money in if he was bluffing. Standard.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771318 - Me getting frustrated with a shortstack, figured he raises turn with a naked K enough times to make it a good play to shove turn.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771319 - Uh, raise -> Flop sick hot -> Robusto.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771321 - My flop raise was WAY too small considering stack sizes, but I managed to still get it all-in, I'm pretty happy with my play here.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771322 - DON'T GO BROKE IN AN UNRAISED POT .. meh that doesn't matter to me.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?771323 - Lol, let the aggro-tards take care of themselves I guess..

I think I'm playing a lot more solid now, I was overplaying my draws like crazy, but I'm trying to avoid that now because there is no fold equity at these levels and it's pretty dumb to take a coinflip when I can still get paid off when I hit my flush/straight and fold when I miss it.

Hm, girlfriend stayed the night last night so I didn't play at all.. but we woke up pretty early and she had to go to work, so I took the day to play. I'm trying something new, playing a couple MTTs while I 7-table nl25, it helped me focus yesterday and today was no different. Don't have hands today, but I won $95 at nl25 and got 2nd in a 5.50 MTT for $225.

Still going to play more tonight, but my roll at the moment is $1,175. Wheeeee! Almost back to nl50. ($1400-1500)

Played a bit more 6max, won another buyin. Played two $11 MTTs and a $5.50 MTT, cashed for $36 in one MTT and busted other two.

    br - $1,208

Played about 800 hands of nl25 today, ~23ptbbish, then donked around in some MTTs, I think I joined 3 of them. AA < 88 on K42 flop. KK < J8 on 875 flop. I forget the other one, for a total of -$33.

Came home from my girlfriend's house and took a small shot at nl50. I had around $1250 and decided it was time. 900 hands and 16ptbb later..

    br - $1,380

Nice, Just posting because I noticed i've read your updates but nobodys commenting. i suck at hand analysis, so I avoid it. But just letting you know that it's being read. As for taking shots, unless you want to play at $25NL forever, take the shot. Keep in mind, $500 is the minimum bankroll for $25NL, so if things are rough for a stretch, don't panic at $950, you have room, as long as you see daylight in your game and at those stakes, stick it out a bit. Looks like you gave yourself plenty of room though, GL

Didn't play much today, only three MTTs.

Played the Midnight Madness, was top 10 for a while, then ran AQ into AK, lost half my stack and couldn't get anything going after that. Busted 41st when 66 lost to A5.

Also played a $24+2 $12k gtd, got hit with a sick 1-outer, raised KQo on the button and both blinds called, flop KT3, I bet, SB calls (leaving himself 300 chips into a 1200 pot), turn Q, we get the rest in and he has QQ. Renton took me out soon after when I flopped bottom 2 vs his flush draw.

Then I played a $5.50 MTT and got JJ allin on a rag flop in a 3k pot at 30/60 or something, was against AK and he rivered me. Sigh.

    br - $1,365

Oh, and trainer, thanks for the kind words, nice to know someone's reading this and I'm not just posting for my health.

It's February now, and that means it's time for new goals. Gonna have a couple, as a sole monetary goal is very mundane.

So my goals are as follows:
    - At least 40k hands
    - $1,000 profit before rakeback
    - Control tilt more

"Oh dear God" - Me, several times today.

Everything went wrong. Started off with set under set, then I felted JJ against a uber-LAGfish - no good against his AA, then a shit-ton more things went wrong (KQ losing to 72 vs a 40bb stack on KT7 flop, etc)

Then I decided to play MTTs. I played the $10r, the $2r, an $11 and a bunch of SNGs.

SNGs went well, made some money.. then MTTs. I was 3/45 in the $10r, 3/97 in the $2r, and just below average in the $11... and my internet went out for 10-15 minutes. I came back, lost 1/3 of my chips in the $10r and went on to bubble it, same with the $2r (though I didn't lose as much, blinds were smaller), and I ended up not cashing in any despite having a GREAT shot at 2 final tables. That pissed me off so much.

So I started a session a little bit ago, won a bit, played a donk HU and won a buyin and a half from him, and then this hand happened (http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140705) and I decided to call it a night.

Played a couple MTTs and didn't cash in either of them. Played a bit of 50nl and lost almost half a buyin. Then went to nl25 and won 3.5 buyins to break even.

I don't know what is different about 50nl, but I'm just not making any hands, or if I am I have to fold them. I don't know if it's just a cold run of cards, but why isn't it continuing at 25nl too? I'm not sure what's going on.

I have a coaching session to plug a few leaks tonight, hopefully that helps.

Moved 2/3 of my roll ($1k) to Absolute to clear the bonus and stuff.. Left the rest on FTP for now ($590). I took the money I cashed out back to FTP since my bank account isn't verified yet, so there's no point keeping it in ePassporte for the next few days. Moved back to PokerStars for a change of scenery (and awesome MTTs), apparently Lee hates me.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($93.45)
    UTG ($155.30)
    MP ($31.30)
    CO ($24.50)
    Button ($37.80)
    SB ($43.65)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, A.
1 fold, MP calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB completes, Hero raises to $3.5, MP folds, CO calls $3, Button folds, SB folds.

    Flop: ($8.50) T, K, 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $6.5, CO raises to $21, Hero calls $14.50.

    Turn: ($50.50) Q (2 players)

    River: ($50.50) 9 (2 players)

    Final Pot: $50.50

Hero has As Ah (two pair, aces and nines).
CO has 9c Jc (straight, king high).
    Outcome: CO wins $50.50.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($54.25)
    SB ($13.05)
    Hero ($25.60)
    UTG ($7.35)
    MP ($11.45)
    CO ($52.80)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, A.
3 folds, Button raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $3.25, Button calls $2.25.

    Flop: ($6.60) Q, K, 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $4.75, Button raises to $51, Hero calls $17.60 (All-In).

    Turn: ($79.95) 9 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: ($79.95) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: $79.95

Hero has Ac Ad (one pair, aces).
Button has Jc Tc (straight, king high).
    Outcome: Button wins $79.95.

And this hand, I have extensive notes on from when I was last at PS, and he's completely retarded. SB is a nit, so I figured a raise would scare him off, and then villain cold-calls. I *immediately* put him on a draw, because he shoves there with set/2pr (ty notes).

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Button ($68.75)
    SB ($50)
    Hero ($69.05)
    UTG ($39.20)
    MP ($63.15)
    CO ($47.95)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6, 6.
2 folds, CO calls $0.50, 1 fold, SB raises to $2, Hero calls $1.50, CO calls $1.50.

    Flop: ($6) 3, 4, 9 (3 players)
SB bets $4, Hero raises to $13, CO calls $13, SB folds.

    Turn: ($36) 5 (2 players)
    Hero bets $54.05 (All-In), CO calls $32.95 (All-In).

    River: ($123) J (2 players, 2 all-in)

    Final Pot: $123

Hero has 6d 6s (one pair, sixes).
CO has Ac 2c (flush, ace high).
Outcome: CO wins $101.90. Hero wins $21.10.

edit - add this beauty to the list:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    SB ($49.50)
    Hero ($74.30)
    UTG ($101.05)
    MP ($59.45)
    Button ($62.75)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, Q.
2 folds, Button calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2.5, Button calls $2.

    Flop: ($5.25) 2, 5, 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $4, Button raises to $14, Hero raises to $71.8, Button calls $46.25 (All-In).

    Turn: ($137.30) T (2 players, 1 all-in)

    River: ($137.30) 9 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: $137.30

    Results in white below:
Hero has Qd Qh (two pair, queens and fives).
Button has Td Th (full house, tens full of fives).
Outcome: Button wins $125.75. Hero wins $11.55.

Played about 2k hands today.. Played this morning at my girlfriend's house while waiting on her to wake up, made about $90 (I got 3rd in a double shootout to the million - fucking sad).

Then I came home, played 6 tables of nl50, then moved to 12 tables of nl25 to get a good setup of 12 tables. Made a few dollars.

Then I donked around in a couple of MTTs - lost with a set to a flush in a ~14k pot with 40 left in a $11, 180man SNG, that was pretty gay.

Went back to nl50, spewed like fucking crazy and lost a buyin or two. Then I stopped spewing and won some money back.

So I had to take $200 out for some stuff, had a couple losing days. Blah blah blah. Friend and I bet that we couldn't play 10k hands this weekend.. did, made like $400 or something, then had my friend pay half the entry to the Million today and got 242nd for $1000, and I got half of that.
