I forgot to mention in my last post that I also played some satellites to the WCOOP $530 NL event and managed to win two seats in four attempts so I added $1K to my Pokerstars tourney dollars account, I definitely feel another operation coming after this current one is complete where I would play heaps of these types of satellites. The only problem with them is that they take 2-3 hours to play but when you win a seat it definitely makes it worthwhile. The two I won this week were a $13 double shootout (turbo) and a $58 freezeout that paid 12 seats. I then entered a $33 turbo re-buy to qualify for a $1,050 tourney (can’t remember which one) but ended up losing 4 buy-ins and decided to quit. I seem to really suck at the turbo re-buys on stars, so it is something I need to work on in the future.

The reason I am building up tourney dollars is that I want to win a seat to the 2008 Aussie Millions so hopefully Pokerstars will run satellites to that one this year, if not I will convert the tourney dollars to cash and try to win a seat on another site. Fulltilt has started running satellites to the Aussie millions but they run very infrequently and are not generally at a good time of day for me (I am in Australia). So come on Pokerstars get your act together. There is also a smaller tournament at the Crown Casino in Melbourne that runs in late October think it’s called the Australian Poker championship or something with a $3,000 buy-in main event. I have been trying to win a $6,000 package for this on Kiwi Poker (i-poker network) but haven’t had any luck yet.

So although my primary focus is the SNG operation I am devoting some time to win entry into a few larger live tournaments as they would be reward for all the grinding I have done online with the SNG’s.
