Trips are not Sets.
I will learn that lesson one day.
Played lots of poker yesterday. Because I was playing short-handed LHE I got in a lot more hands than I usually would.
Managed to clear the $100 Interpoker bonus at the cost of $10 (up $10 at $1/2 and down $20 at $2/4).
Went to Will Hill and managed to completely collapse. Lost something like $100 on the $1/2 full-ring tables. Some very loose and bad play, and a the standard limit fair of leading until the river but being unable to do anything than make opp pay to get there and then keep the pay off small when they hit.
For some reason although PT says I'd played 5 hours I didn't get all five bonus installments. So I went back this morning and played a table for a full hour to make sure I got the bonus.
Finished up about $35 so in all I lost $45 and got $47 in bonus.
Makes my stats look crap though.
Went over to Paradise for a bit... I've really gone off their site over the last couple of months, but I have $100 of reload bonus left.
Managed to lose the following pot:
Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
SB ($103.50)
Hero ($44.30)
Button ($41.45)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 7 , 5 . SB posts a blind of $0.25.
Button calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero checks.
Flop: ($1.25) Q , 7 , 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.
Turn: ($1.25) 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $1, Button calls $1.
River: ($3.25) 4 (2 players)
Hero bets $2, Button raises to $4, Hero raises to $10, Button raises to $39.95, Hero calls $29.95.
Final Pot: $83.15
Results in white below:
Hero has 7s 5c (three of a kind, sevens).
Button has 7d 8d (full house, sevens full of eights).
Outcome: Button wins $83.15.
Just terrible play. I nearly left because it was going so badly but I thought to myself that there were plenty of bad players, playing badly, and even if they're catching some results now it can't last.
Managed to get all but $3 of my losses back. Favourite hand:
Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
UTG ($79.40)
MP ($57.60)
Button ($31.65)
Hero ($52.30)
BB ($41.35)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A , J . Hero posts a blind of $0.25.
1 fold, MP raises to $2, 1 fold, Hero (poster) raises to $5.25, 1 fold, MP calls $3.25.
Flop: ($11) 3 , A , K (2 players)
Hero bets $8, MP calls $8.
Turn: ($27) J (2 players)
Hero bets $25, MP raises to $44.35, (All-In) calls $14.05.
River: ($110.40) 4 (2 players)
Final Pot: $110.40
Results in white below:
Hero has Ah Jd (two pair, aces and jacks).
MP has 8c Ac (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins $110.40.
Bit scarey and probably suicidal against any reasonable opponent. But the opp wasn't reasonable
So I was down $3 as I say, although had cleared $10 of the bonus. But this hand put me back in the +$
