Well, it's been 2 months.
I thought this thread would just die because as you know, I've had my wisdom teeth pulled. I thought I'd be in pain and out of it for a week and have to study for exams. As it is, I was back to poker on last Friday after the Wednesday operation and didn't want to study. Besides, I couldn't help playing some Omaha. I'm addicted to the action.
I've decided I'm only going to count my PartyPoker results in this operation from now on. I've lost a little bit @ full tilt & stars (I'm confident I could beat the game, but i hadn't adjusted from the wilder Party games I'd been used to) but it's offset by the bonus money I've earnt @ all three sites.
So my results is now:
28530 hands, $15999 profit, and 10.08 ptBB/100
24% VPIP and 5% PFR.
Tell me how your stats compare!
Yesterday I dropped over 1k, including $900+ on the last 80 or so hands. Ouch. They say losing sucks more than winning is goot. I tend to agree; I don't think I have a natural gambler's disposition it's really something I have to work at. But my goal over the next batch of hands is not to quit right away when I start losing and really try to keep myself in a calm emotional state. I'm not really tilt prone as it is, and I need to stop being scared whenever I lose a couple of buyins. I've proved to myself I can play and win at the levels I play, so now I JUST GOT TO DO IT.
Today I'll be taking a 1-day rest from poker. Probably a good thing. I need to practice dancing for a few hours, and run some errands. Teach piano. And work out too; I've dropped a few kilos (I'm already like pretty slim I'm probably only 55 kg now) because I haven't been able to eat my normal diet lately. Don't know why my metabolism is that fast either. Besides I need to get my body conditioned for the upcoming overseas travel I intend to do. At night, a birthday to attend. But Saturday morning I'll be back to it and hoping to make a bright start to June.
I'll post hands when I have more time. But at the moment I'd rather just play. Nobody comments on my hands anyway. To the few who actually do, thanks!
