Operation: Back on Track
I'm back again to have yet another attempt at this facking game. I didn't stop playing, I just stopped posting/studying/learning/improving/winning.
I seem to have a problem when it comes to committing to any sort of long term studying of the game and as a result I just end up autopiloting. This is something that I will put right in 2010. I was asked earlier today if I had any goals for 2010, to which I answered, "try and actually learn. anything else is a bonus". So I guess thats my main aim for the next year.
In terms of 2009, I did alright I guess. Not disasterous, not amazing. Definately huge huge room for improvement in all areas.

Aside from poker, I am going to make some changes to my life in general. First of all, I need to get into shape. This is the standard post Christmas realisation that I can no longer eat what I want, when I want without putting on a lot of weight. I'm either going to join a local gym or go running + buy some weights or something along those lines. I live in a rural area so I have no excuse to not go running around where I live.
I also need to become far more pro-active with regards to my employment. After I finished University I registered on a "learn from home" diploma in fitness and nutrition which I've just sort of put aside. This really needs finishing and it shouldn't take me too long, I'm just being lazy with it. Now that Christmas has past I'm no longer guaranteed much work at the restaurant I work at due to it being much quieter so therefore I need to actually start hunting round for work, rather than waiting to stumble across an opportunity.
With regards to a possible future in physiotherapy (if you read my old blog then there is a slim chance you might remember me saying thats what I intended to do) I have been on one work experience day so far and really enjoyed it. I have arranged more work experience at a local hospital which starts Monday 4th January and hopefully I'll be able to get in each Monday + Wednesday. As far as I know there are 6 universities in England that offer the PostGraduate MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) course I would like to get onto. In January I will apply to them all.
Thats enough for now. In fact its probably too much for now, but its good to get things written down. Thing is though, I've written it all down before. This time, I'm going to do it.
