Thats Build A 'Roll by the way.

So ok some of you dont know my history. I started way back when with $50 at the 0.05/.10 LHE FR tables. Few months later I had enough to move to .5/1 LHE. I did so, and quit my day-job (I worked the concessions at Regal Theaters for $6/hour. No big loss.) and continued up the ladder. Soon I moved to 5/10 FR and had decent success.

Then I made the jump to 6max LHE and survived there living off rakeback and profit for several months just spinning my wheels. At one point I hit 10/20 and was raking in the cash, but it didn't last. The Peter Principle took over, and I just couldn't succeed anymore.

So I tried to prop over at the Crypto sites. 100% rakeback + profits, sounds great I'm in. Well, I got decimated. Abso-fuckin-lutely destroyed at their sixhanded game. Call it variance, call it bad play, call it tilt, whatever you call it, even with 3k a week checks in rakeback, I lost a LOT.

Pride comes before the fall.

That was Julyish of this year. And since then I've played precious little poker -- that kind of losing took my confidence and threw it out the window. And because I was still living off my roll but not playing enough to sustain it, the roll shrank significantly. Really, REALLY significantly.

So here I sit, coming up on December first, with a little over $500 left online, and thankfully some in the bank account that I'd miraculously saved for a rainy day (and its fucking pouring over here.) but that I refuse to refund my bankroll with. If I lose this $500, I get a job and rebuild from there. But I won't have to worry about that.

So yes, mr Blingy Bling Bling LHE Pro is almost busto and has switched to half-stacking 25NL.

People ask me why I just dont buy in full. Well, here's why.

A) Confidence
B) Saves me from my ultimate fear -- AI and bad beated
C) Magnifies my opponents mistakes
c1) They call with all sorts of draws getting massive 2:1 odds.
c2) They call my all ins with top pair no kicker religiously.
D) Its fun and low stress.

So ok Euph, whats your goal for the operation?
I want to have 2k in my bankroll by Christmas morning. I'm currently around $500, so call it $1500 by December 25th. That gives me essentially 24 days. I need to average $62.5 a day. That aint gonna be easy. Thats 2.5buyins a day, 6.5 half-stack-doubleups.

How am I going to do this? I'm going to be obscenely tight, and convince my opponents to make big mistakes. Due to my stack size, I have to play purely big-pot poker. Get a better than average hand, and do everything possible to get my chips in the middle. That means I'm going to be very very tight, and obscenely aggressive.

So here's my journal.

Wish me luck.
