Default Operation BR -> Summer Job

Alright all, my goal is to have a 3k BR for this summer so I can play poker for a full time job this summer. The goal is by June 1st To have 3k.

I have been workin on this for a little while without making a thread to update everyone so I will update everyone with my progress thusfar...

I started with 200$ playing the 16 2 tables... at the time it was out of my br range but I am successfull at these in the past so it wasnt a matter of playing within my br as much as building it asap... I have built it up to what it is at today 897$ thru these 16's.

    I am lookin at
    Profit: 687$
    ROI: 30.36%
    ITM: 27.47%

I can easily say this is killing those tournaments. I have played over 500 at this level with those numbers and think its safe to say with a 27 buyin swing in the middle of those 500 and pulling those numbers there is a big enough variance to show that is about my avg and I should stay around there. I think I am rolled to move up to the 27's but I am not posotive with my skill enough to move up, so at 1k I plan to move up to the 27's and see how I fare...

I dont plan on having a certain number played a day or week because the fact is im a college student and if something gets in the way it will happen too often... My "Goal" is to play around 10-20 a day 4 tabling... I want to turnt he same numbers im pullin now and should have no problem reaching my goal.

I will keep everyone updated on a day to day basis...
Any info or support is welcome...
    I am that fish...

    currently broke as a joke...

    They were suited!
I am a firm believer that your bankroll is way more important than skill when you're choosing what level to play at and when to move up/down. It's all about being comfortable with the bigger buyin. If your bankroll can't handle it, then your game will suffer. If you're killing the $16 two tables, then you should have no trouble at the 27s. I can say from experience that there's not much difference in the level of play between the two.

Good luck. Playing poker full-time is way better than working, but don't be too discouraged if you fall short. I plan on working and playing simultaneously this summer. If poker really starts to swell, I'll quit working and just play full-time, but I'm recovering from losing almost my whole bankroll in a horrific downswing since I switched to playing MTTs full-time so my selection is pretty limited right now.

Yours is an ambitious goal. Keep us posted.
