    Default Operation Busa

    Mostly inspired by Spoon's How To Grind, This operation a little more superficial than some, but I figured it's a win win situation in the end.
    Ok so early March the weather started getting nice here on the east coast, and I got a perfect day to take the bike out. I change the oil, shine it up and I was ready for the first ride of the year up the parkway. So, we're ridin up I-40 kinda dickin off but keepin it pretty slow. Next thing I know there's a huge truck switching lanes dead into me, so my first reaction was goose it and get the fuck outta dodge! This didn't happen and this prick in the truck clipped my back tire and send me on a frogspin down the highway. I came out pretty good with only bruises, pretty cut up, and a mild concussion. But as I stand there trying to regroup and figure out what the hell just happened I look at my bike, my beautiful 06 CBR1000 laying there smoking, leaking, and looking like it just came out of a compactor. Anyways with medical bills paid and insurance and gap covering the bike I figured let's get back on the horse. But this time lets not spend 11K on it.
    Since then I've been running 25/5/0
    25=% of Friday night "strange" i'm missing out on without a bike
    5=Level of Sunday afternoon excitement I have to look forward too
    0=% chance I'll die in a late night dragrace

    Figured a good used Hayabusa is runnin anywhere from 5-9K. And I'm going to buy it for $100!!
    Never really messed with Full Tilt but I just opened an account and will only deposit a hundred dollars. Using proper BR management and a huge amount of discipline I am going to see exactly how close I can come to buying a five thousand dollar bike and have only one hundred of my own dollars invested in it, by next spring. and i guess maybe become a better player in the process

    Heres the plan:
    1. $1.25 SNG's strictly until $300
    At $300 I can get back to cash games playing 10NL
    10NL-->$700
    25NL-->$1500
    50NL-->$3000
    100NL--> I have the monies for the new bike

    2. I am going to set some ground rules for this operation:
    Sessions no longer than 120 minutes/with at least 60 minutes to review sessions atlest every other day
    Never passed 12:00 A.M. on a night with work the next morning
    If I drop more than 3 Buyins in 1 day take a few days Hiatus
    Preferably have tons of sex to clear my mind before and after session

    3. Post troubling hands and progress at FTR for insight and guidance from the brilliant minds that live here

    4. No less than 20K hands a month

    O.K. the hundo is deposited, wish me luck and any other advice you can offer about getting there would be awesome! (i.e # of hands...BR mgmt...anything)
    AND AWAAAAY WE GO!!

    The first 300 will be the hardest I think but fun none the less, I'll still keep up my games at stars, just figured i'd put this hobby to some good use

    playing $1.25s until you reach $300 seems ridiculously nitty. The rake absolutely kills you at that level as well...

    I've found the smallest cash game is 10NL and Im not sure I want to get into that with any less than 20-30 buyins. I seem to run horrible at 10 and 25 and cant stand a big 10% BR hit when my K's get raped by some donks Queen duece off. The first 300 will be my biggest obstacle I think, any suggestions on a BR gameplan for that first mountain?

    I dunno, learn to megatable full ring would be my option but that's what I do now so I'm biased.

    I think 50buyins is ok for SnGs but it's a while since I played them and they may have got tougher.
