well I never thought I would say it, but variance has been fucking killing me. it seems like no matter what I do they call when I bluff and fold when I valuebet. for 2 solid weeks I know the sample is small but still, villains cant have player specific reads on me due to anon. zone. even though my steals are looking ok I have decided to cut my range back a ton as stealing requires some knowledge of opponents that I cant get in zone. my first 15k hands I played a basic uber tight range that slowly opened up to the button. I tried to make some changes after seeing my steal stats for the first time and that seemed to be where it all went down hill. I think it was a little adjusting, variance, and outright bad decisions on my part. the money in microstakes comes from our villains making mistakes with a weaker range than us. if I open up my stealing in CO and BTN then im effectively shooting myself in the foot while playing zone. the new plan is nit it up in zone and start printing that monies again. ive been playing normal tables too and that's been much better for stealing as I can gather information at showdown vs these villains and adjust properly.
